Strictly feminine name
Name without a nickname/commonly used nickname
Nothing starting with C/K, E, J, or S or ending with the long “E” sound
Not too old, but not too trendy either
Some suggestions:
[name_f]Mira[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]

[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Tara[/name_f]
[name_f]May[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
I like pretty much every single one of your suggestions, however my husband is only keen on [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (which I’m OK with, but don’t love) and thinks it’s the only one that goes with our boys’ names. (which are [name_u]Carter[/name_u] and [name_m]Ethan[/name_m], I realized I forgot to put that in my post)
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Georgina[/name_f]/[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Laurel[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f]/[name_f]Lauren[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Isobel[/name_f](my fav spelling)/[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Audrina[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
Those are a few I came up with, although I’m not sure they strictly adhere to your guidelines. Good luck finding the perfect name for your little one!
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Viola[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
The natural nickname for [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is [name_f]Vi[/name_f].
It sounds like your husband may not like names ending in a either. Have you considered:
[name_f]Margo[/name_f]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Faith[/name_f]
[name_f]Lois[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
We both like [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] (though not so much [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]). [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] are super pretty, however both are very long and would get shortened to [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] and [name_f]Gen[/name_f] probably 9 out of 10 times which is a big turn off for both of us
I like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] but my husband doesn’t really like it nor does he think it fits with [name_u]Carter[/name_u] and [name_m]Ethan[/name_m]
No, he’s definitely open to names ending with a (we both tend to find those a bit more feminine than some that don’t end with a). We like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but our last name begins with S and the Z and S sounds together can be kind of tricky to say.
[name_m]How[/name_m] often is [name_f]Vi[/name_f] really used for [name_f]Violet[/name_f], though? By commonly used nicknames we meant names like [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] which is pretty much NEVER fully said, it’s always [name_f]Maddie[/name_f], people just assume it. Or even the [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]'s I grew up with were ALWAYS shortened to [name_u]Ash[/name_u] no matter what…that is what we want to avoid
Name without a nickname/commonly used nickname
Nothing starting with C/K, E, J, or S or ending with the long “E” sound
Not too old, but not too trendy either
[name_f]Ana[/name_f]
[name_f]Fleur[/name_f]

[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Inga[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Nia[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
Good luck x
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Alexia[/name_f]

[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & Rosabel
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] and…
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Brenna[/name_f]
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_f]Gianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Mara[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Vada[/name_f]
[name_f]Brenna[/name_f], [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] are my favorites from this.
And although it’s very popular, I think [name_f]Ava[/name_f] would go beautifully with [name_u]Carter[/name_u] and [name_m]Ethan[/name_m].
I like a good number of your names, but my husband finds them too old in sound
We like [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]!
We like [name_f]Aria[/name_f] and we actually do like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] a lot! [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] would also be a contender if it wasn’t for my bratty little cousin who is named [name_f]Brenna[/name_f]
So far you guys like…
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
I don’t think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] gets shortened much but I think that really depends on the person. Some people seem to feel the need to put their own stamp o npeople. I know people that have names that are commonly shortened, my husband for instance, but other than family (who knew him growing up by the nickname anyway) people respect his request to be called by his full name. You could also go for [name_f]Viola[/name_f] which is pronounced similarly usually…VIE-uh-la not vee-OH-lə, like the instrument.
More suggestions:
[name_f]Adela[/name_f]
[name_f]Alana[/name_f]
[name_f]Liora[/name_f]

[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f]
[name_f]Zora[/name_f]
We like [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Zara[/name_f], and [name_f]Zora[/name_f]! [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] and [name_u]Hayden[/name_u]'s are used a lot on boys where we live (please remember we want a strictly feminine name)
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariella[/name_f]

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicia[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
Yeah I don’t much think of them as feminine either but the people who use them seem to think so… [name_m]Just[/name_m] the other day a poster was saying how feminine they thought [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] was. In my mind its a boys name.
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] and [name_u]Dara[/name_u] are great choices.
So are [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_f]Delia[/name_f]
[name_f]Hanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Lara[/name_f]
