We are currently having trouble with finding a name for baby #3 to go with our other two kids. Here are our kids names:
[name_m]Hudson[/name_m] [name_m]Everett[/name_m]
[name_f]Aspen[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
Our problem is the names we come up with and like all rhyme with [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] and [name_f]Aspen[/name_f]! It just seems we like names that end with the -in, -en, -on sound? We tried to steer the other way and think about names like [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] but it’s just hard for us to imagine. Our favourite name that doesn’t end with the sound -on would have to be [name_m]Cooper[/name_m], but again I just don’t know why we can’t imagine having a kid named that.
We were set on [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] and [name_f]Aspen[/name_f] for so long and now we just can’t imagine any of the names we come up with for a real person. I guess I’m asking a lot of questions in this but I would like advice and any name suggestions as well?
I’m not sure if this would help, but maybe try looking up people that have the names you like?
For example, these are all real people named [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] you could look up; [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] [name_m]Manning[/name_m], [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] [name_m]Barnes[/name_m], and [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] Hefner.
I think [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] goes wonderfully [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] (one of my favorite names!) and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. I think that you guys might just have a bit of a mental block for names in general right now. Maybe you could spend a few days referring to your unborn baby as names you’re considering and see if one starts to feel right?
Thank you so much! These tips were really what I was looking for. I’m glad you like [name_m]Cooper[/name_m], and I think the idea of referring to the name to see if it fits well will help. [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] and [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] came so easy to us, and now we are having trouble imagining saying this next name every single day.
[name_m]Cooper[/name_m] is number 77 in the United States. It also falls into the old occupation category. [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] (number 260 for F, Number 94 for M in the US). [name_m]Thayer[/name_m], a less common option but it means tailer. [name_m]Ryder[/name_m], another name in the top 100 (98). [name_m]Gunner[/name_m] is also in the top 1000.
I think [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] goes well with [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], and [name_u]Aspen[/name_u]. They sound like siblings to me.
I think [name_u]London[/name_u], [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] or [name_m]Charleston[/name_m] would go well because [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] are both place names… or maybe something like [name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] or even conan, which have a similarly European feel.
to get the ‘s’ and the ‘n’ sounds in… maybe [name_u]Carson[/name_u]? Or… [name_m]Benson[/name_m], [name_m]Bronson[/name_m], [name_m]Orson[/name_m], [name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Wilson[/name_m], [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]… [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]/[name_m]Roman[/name_m] would give a different visual but keep similar sounds… [name_m]Leon[/name_m] might be a nice semi-departure as well while still in-keeping with ur sib-set
