I love [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] - it’s literary and underused with a classic feel. Ideally, I’d pair it with a one-syllable middle name but there’s very few of those that I like. I don’t like [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
Any suggestions for a (preferably short) middle name?
Personally, I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as a mn. And [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] was on my list for a long time.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Wren[/name_u]? Since [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] means “from the forest,” I think [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] makes a nice nature name.
I adore [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] (and in this spelling too). I usually pair [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] with a multisyllabic name (i.e. [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] [name_f]Katarina[/name_f], [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]), but maybe I will come up with something that you like. I’m sure what style that you are aiming for since you said you don’t like many one syllable names, so I’ll give a range of ideas.
[name_f]Silvia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] was the first one that came to mind…or…
[name_u]Kay[/name_u]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f]
[name_f]Faith[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Jay[/name_u]
[name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f]Paige[/name_f]
I have a [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and her middle name is [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]. I’m not necessarily suggesting that you use the exact same mn, but I do think a two-syllable name flows well with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Silvia[/name_f], particularly if the accent is on the second syllable.
