Can't sleep...then Cynthia popped into my head

So it’s 2:53 am (I’m supposed to be up for school at 5:30 :-/) and I just can’t sleep. So I hopped onto Nameberry of course!

Then the name [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] popped into my head, totally out of nowhere. I don’t know anyone named [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] and have never discussed it with my husband.

But now I’m thinking; is [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] the one???

I like its classic(ish) feel. And while [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] is very 80s to me, I think [name_f]Thia[/name_f] is a really cool nickname, as well as just [name_f]Cyn[/name_f].

And bonus! My hubby wants to use [name_u]Clare[/name_u] as a middle (family name) and if she was to be [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u], initials would be CC and she could easily go by [name_f]CeCe[/name_f] as a nn too!

Am I a little nutty here, or does anyone out there agree? Maybe I’m just sleep deprived…

Thoughts and suggestions always welcome!

I really like [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u]. [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] is my cousin’s name. She never goes by [name_f]Cindy[/name_f], only [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] and sometimes [name_f]Cyn[/name_f]. It is a beautiful name with lots of history.

[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] sounds lovely together, I love the nn [name_f]Cece[/name_f]

[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] goes very well together  [name_f]Thia[/name_f] is a really cool nickname  when I hear CC I always have to think of The [name_f]Nanny[/name_f] though

Well, that’s my name. Most of the time, I am [name_f]Cyn[/name_f] or [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f]. Sometimes, it’s [name_f]Thia[/name_f] or [name_m]Cy[/name_m]. No one ever called me [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] (I’m a 90s kid, btw).

[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] is very lovely, imo.

I think Cynthia Claire is a great name, and all those nickname options are just wonderful. Awesome name you’ve found.

[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] has the same classic feel as some of the other long-standing C-names ([name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]), with the bonus of being familiar but not currently trendy. [name_f]Thia[/name_f] and [name_f]CeCe[/name_f] are sweet nicknames. Sounds like a winner to me!

I love the name [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] as well & [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] sounds very pretty!

I like [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f]! [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] is beautiful. I love the nickname options, too! My favorites are [name_f]CeCe[/name_f] and [name_f]Thia[/name_f].
I think it is a sign…she is trying to tell you her name

[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] sounds great & [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is really cute. When I was pregnant the name [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] always was suggested to me by the men in my life. From my 80 something year old grandfather to my male friends in their late 20s/early 30s. I feel like this name is especially appealing to men. I think it just feels a little bit classic & strong, but a little bit sexier. I think it’s most similar in vibe to [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] if that makes sense. To me it has a bit of a tough sexy aspect. I think that [name_u]Clare[/name_u] tempers that perfectly and adds sweetness. [name_f]Thia[/name_f] brings it into 2014 very well. I think Cynna could work too.

Thank you so much everyone! Im honestly shocked at all the positive feedback; I thought for sure more people would think it was too outdated.

The nickname options are a huge draw for me too, so thanks for the support there as well.

Tararyaz: Cynna is a great suggestion! Thanks!

Now on to the next step: getting the husband on board!

[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] is so classic - the only [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] I know is truly stunning (she’s a model, so that makes me feel better - at least she’s paid to look amazing) and a very sweet person. [name_f]Thia[/name_f] is lovely too.
