We’re expecting a little boy and now we have to start completely over From the beginning of the pregnancy, we knew that if we were to have a boy we’d name him [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]. We were super excited when we found out we were having a boy however we can no longer use [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_f]My[/name_f] brother-in-law and his girlfriend had a little boy about two weeks ago and named him [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]! No one can really be mad or have too hard of feelings as we didn’t say what we were planning on using as a name and neither did they. But now, we’re very lost and haven’t found any new names we even remotely like as much as [name_m]Jackson[/name_m].
We aren’t really sure of our style but we don’t want anything too crazy and nothing too old. [name_m]Frank[/name_m] will still be his middle name, but do you have any suggestions for a new first name?
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t feel too bad–[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]/[name_m]Jaxon[/name_m] is rather overused at the moment, though it is cute. I’d go with something more original…[name_m]Cabot[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_u]Cairo[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_m]Boyer[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_m]Hadrian[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m].
We’re not too concerned with popular/“overused” names; that doesn’t bother us in the least. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] is nice, however due to two [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]‘s that have crossed my path, the name has been completely ruined for me. Most of your other suggestions ([name_m]Cabot[/name_m], [name_u]Cairo[/name_u], [name_m]Boyer[/name_m], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], [name_m]Hadrian[/name_m]) are too out there for us. There are way too many [name_u]James[/name_u]’ in our lives (3 on my side of the family, 1 on my husband’s side, and 4 friends) so [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] isn’t giving that “happy” feeling. I sort of have a soft spot for [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] but [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] are too “TV character” for us
[name_m]Frank[/name_m] was my grandfather’s name and I don’t feel comfortable using it as a first name (I’m also not a fan of [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] at all). [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] are really nice! Some of your other suggestions are too crazy or old sounding for what we want ([name_m]Jefferson[/name_m], [name_m]Harold[/name_m], [name_u]Abbott[/name_u], [name_m]Kipling[/name_m])
I like [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], as previous posters have mentioned. It seems like you like names that are a little more well-known, so what about [name_m]Miles[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_u]Owen[/name_u], or [name_m]Ethan[/name_m]?
[name_m]Miles[/name_m], [name_u]Owen[/name_u], and [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] are awesome! [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is also really nice but [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m] sounds strange
I’m really sorry about your situation I’d just think of it not being meant to be you know…
Have you thought of looking at names similar to [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]?
[name_u]Carson[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_u]Jordan[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] (similar to [name_m]Frank[/name_m] flows better)
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_m]Austin[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] (see above)
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]
We had the name [name_u]Reese[/name_u] picked out for a girl, then had a boy and were saving it for a future girl. [name_f]My[/name_f] sister in law had a girl and used the name [name_u]Reese[/name_u] (they live far away and had no idea we loved the name) and when I heard I was sad like dang we can’t use it! But there are always lots of great names, and even though it is hard to come up with a new name you both love, you will eventually and then you’ll think I can’t believe we were going to use the name [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]. And I agree, I know a ton of Jacksons (I have a cousin and a nephew with the name and as a school teacher I see it all the time!). I think it will become really dated in about 20 years.
