[name]Will[/name] have to be able to fit 3 carseats side by side in just a couple months. I was thinking that I could find a different carseat for my 2yr old that would be narrower & make it easier for the infant carseat to fit in. The carseat my 2yr old is currently in is abt 18in wide. So I need a carseat for him that is under 18in wide AND for a child under 30lbs as he’s not yet 30lbs. If he was 30lbs I would just move him into his big sister’s 5pt harness booster seat & get her a new pink booster seat. I have gone to walmart, kmart, target, & toys r us & looked at carseats & can’t find any that he can use that is narrower than what he’s currently in. Help please! Anyone know of a carseat that will work?
[name]Maxi[/name] Pria is a good narrow carseat. What kind of car do you have?
2011 [name]Kia[/name] Sorento
The [name]Sunshine[/name] Kids Radian was supposed to be a good one for fitting into tight spaces, but it looks like they’ve changed their name to Diono. Not sure if they’ve changed their car seats. I’d check out the NHTSA website. They have lots of car seat information.
I would also check out the Radian. They are the most narrow from what I have heard. www.car-seat.org is a super helpful site with certified techs that answer your questions.
I’m not sure about brands, but if you have the extra cash, I recommend you get in extended rear facing seat. I know you might think your little one is too old to be rear facing but they are honestly a lot, lot safer than the traditional front facing carseats. Well worth looking into if the option is available to you!
I read that a Costco and Rescaro fit well with the [name]Kia[/name] Sorento.
If I had “extra cash” I would go splurge. But I’m having to use money I made of my yard sale in order to get a different car seat for one of the kids. So I have to stay under $200 (that’s including shipping if I have to order one online).
Costco or Cosco?
Cosco, I may have spelled it wrong. Sorry.
