My husband loves [name_f]Florence[/name_f] - it’s his top choice for our new baby girl, in fact, all the names he loves have the -ce in common. [name_f]Eurydice[/name_f], [name_f]Celine[/name_f], [name_f]Clarice[/name_f], [name_f]Berenice[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]…
On the other hand, I love more dramatic and opera-style names like [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], [name_f]Floria[/name_f], [name_f]Rosina[/name_f], [name_f]Pamina[/name_f] and names I think fit in perfectly with these names: [name_f]Mirella[/name_f], [name_f]Indira[/name_f], [name_f]Elvira[/name_f]. I think the names I like are dramatic, feminine and strong whereas his are more soft, feminine and romantic, less passionate.
So I was thinking maybe [name_f]Floria[/name_f] as a compromise for us, since I love [name_f]Florina[/name_f] and he loves [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. He has said that [name_f]Floria[/name_f] is a really nice name and so I have hope that it could grow on him.
I love [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], he doesn’t, but he likes [name_f]Carmina[/name_f] for some reason, which I happen to be falling for myself.
I would really appreciate opinions on these names: [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], [name_f]Carmina[/name_f], [name_f]Floria[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Florina[/name_f].
The only name I like out of the final 5 you have is [name_f]Florence[/name_f], but if [name_f]Flora[/name_f] was an option, I would pick that. [name_f]Floria[/name_f] seems unnecessarily frilly to me, as does [name_f]Carmina[/name_f]. [name_f]Florina[/name_f] and [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] simply don’t do it for me, though I like [name_m]Florin[/name_m] for a boy.
Out of all the other names you’ve mentioned though, I do like [name_f]Clarice[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Rosina[/name_f], [name_f]Indira[/name_f] and [name_f]Elvira[/name_f].
There is a berry whose daughter is named [name_f]Florina[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u]. Your style reminds me of hers.
Personally I much prefer [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Florina[/name_f] over [name_f]Floria[/name_f]. It lacks something, [name_f]IMO[/name_f], and people may misheard it for [name_f]Gloria[/name_f]. I also like other variants such as [name_f]Florencia[/name_f] or [name_f]Fiorenza[/name_f].
[name_u]Carmen[/name_u] and [name_f]Carmina[/name_f] are nice. [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] is sweet and strong, [name_f]Carmina[/name_f] is more frilly. Very pretty, but also potentially get mistaken for [name_f]Carina[/name_f].
[name_u]Carmen[/name_u]- Never been a fan of this name. No particular reason, just not my style.
[name_f]Carmina[/name_f]- I kind of like this.
[name_f]Floria[/name_f]- I’ve never heard of this name before, but I think it’s pretty.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]- Definitely my favorite of the five. I’d love to see this name more widely used.
[name_f]Florina[/name_f]- Not bad, but I prefer [name_f]Florence[/name_f].
In order from favorite to least favorite for me: [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Carmina[/name_f], [name_f]Floria[/name_f], [name_f]Florina[/name_f], [name_u]Carmen[/name_u].
My favourites out of the names that seem “compromising” are [name_f]Carmina[/name_f], [name_f]Mirella[/name_f] and [name_f]Indira[/name_f].
[name_f]Carmina[/name_f] seems to stick all the cords you are both looking for. Perhaps your husband would swing around to [name_f]Mirella[/name_f] and [name_f]Indira[/name_f] if he considered the more feminine nn options [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and Dira (Dear-ah)
[name_f]Florina[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] is drop dead gorgeous! It is most definitely my style, I would love to use [name_f]Florina[/name_f] or [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] (or both) if only my husband felt the same way!
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] are not my favorites… I really like both [name_f]Floria[/name_f] and [name_f]Carmina[/name_f] though! [name_f]Florina[/name_f] is lovely as well. [name_f]Carmina[/name_f] is the best balance of dramatic and feminine, in my opinion.
Of the 5, I only really like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] & [name_u]Carmen[/name_u]. Of the others you have listed, I love [name_f]Indira[/name_f] and also like [name_f]Rosina[/name_f], [name_f]Mirella[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Mira[/name_f]) and [name_f]Clarice[/name_f] (I prefer [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]).
