I REALLY love [name]Carmen[/name], but no one else seems to like it–they all associate it with [name]Carmen[/name] [name]Electra[/name] or The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
I don’t usually like Spanish names, but I just love [name]Carmen[/name]. It sounds like it would be good on someone of any age, and it’s easy to spell and pronounce. Anybody agree with me? And, anyone who doesn’t agree, any great alternatives?
I have the combo [name]Carmen[/name] [name]Olympia[/name] in my signature–a lot of people say it’s too much, but I like it a lot and I don’t think I would use [name]Olympia[/name] as a first name, so this way I can still have Olympia.
I also love [name]Carmen[/name] on a girl!
I think [name]Carmen[/name] Olympic is gorgeous & dramatic.
[name]Carmen[/name] reminds me of the book [name]Lolita[/name]. It’s in the lyrics of a song that’s in the book.
Now it’s also the name of a song by [name]Lana[/name] del [name]Ray[/name] which I think is inspired by the song in the book!
So maybe if that album gets really popular the name will get a bit more attention?
I know a [name]Carmen[/name] and I never made the [name]Carmen[/name] elektra connection until you mentioned it but it doesn’t affect how I feel about the name at all. It’s nms but I still think its nice
I like [name]Carmen[/name] a lot- I considered it as a middle name for my current pregnancy.
Especially like it paired with a more subtle middle name, or even…
I know one family (vaguely) who have a [name]Carmen[/name] and a newborn [name]Eloise[/name]. I thought these two were lovely together
I dont think Id use it personally, but I do like it. I like that it’s simple and classic, but comes off as quite modern sounding and rather strong (as opposed to frilly). I think in a room of Quinns & Harpers on one side and Sophias and Isabellas on the other–[name]Carmen[/name] seems very balanced.
It’s pretty, and I don’t think of [name]Carmen[/name] [name]Electra[/name] or the book series, I think of the opera. I also like [name]Carmelita[/name] or [name]Carmencita[/name].
I’ve been really fond of [name]Carmen[/name] lately, but it’s not feminine enough forme. I think its the closeness to [name]Cameron[/name], and the “men” part.
I don’t see [name]Carmen[/name] [name]Electra[/name] at all, I see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants though.
I think [name]Carmen[/name] [name]Olympia[/name] is too much. I think [name]Olympia[/name]'s too much in general.
I think of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants first, but that’s probably because I’ve read the series many times. I like the character [name]Carmen[/name]; she’s spunky and does the right thing in the end, so it’s not a problem for me. I also do think of the opera.
Karmin is a new duo that I am obsessed with right now. They are musician couple named [name]Amy[/name] & [name]Nick[/name]. I love it with the K, and I usually don’t go for trendy spellings. I would probably spell it [name]Karmen[/name].
[name]Carmen[/name] [name]Olympia[/name] does seem a little much. Along the lines of [name]Carmen[/name] [name]Electra[/name]. It’s sounds like the name of a super hero or villain.
[name]Carmen[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] would be pretty.
Honestly (being a 13 year old) I didn’t even know who [name]Carmen[/name] [name]Electra[/name] was until now. Hehe. And also, if I was gonna name my daughter this someday, it wouldn’t be for at least 15 years so I think Mrs. [name]Electra[/name] will have faded in popularity by then. Not a big fan of [name]Olivia[/name] (too popular!) but my new favorite mn with [name]Carmen[/name] is [name]Rosalie[/name]. [name]Carmen[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]. Like it?
