What do you guys think of the name [name]Carol[/name] for a boy? Its unisex, but do you think it sounds feminine?

Didn’t know it’s a unisex name. Only know female Carols! So personally I won’t use it on a boy…
The male version is [name]Carroll[/name].
i actually have an uncle named [name]Carroll[/name] so i obviously can see it on a boy. i personally wouldn’t use it on a boy though.
I can see it on a male, I guess, but not so much on a modern boy if that makes sense. Especially not while [name]Caroline[/name] is such a mainstream girls’ name. [name]Carroll[/name] could make a good middle name, though.
I know lots of middle-aged female Carols, so it seems very dated as a girls’ name. I would actually prefer it on a boy, but would personally hesitate to use it because I’m sure he would often get mistaken for a girl on paper. I like the spelling [name]Carroll[/name] for a boy, but I still feel like it may be seen as feminine. I agree that it would make a great middle name, though.
I personally wouldn’t do it, but if you really want to, I would spell it [name]Carroll[/name] like the surname.
If you use it, spell it like the surname. I know several of males with that particular spelling, but then I’m southern.
