Caroline, Cora and Charlotte?

Can [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] be sisters? Or they are to close?

Not expecting, just collecting

Well [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] mean the same thing so it’s a little weird there. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] do have a lot of similar sounds in similar orders and they are quite different styles, [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is timeless sweet and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is modern spunky so they’re not a super cohesive sibset. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] work quite well, especially if [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] also goes by [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] or [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] are super cute.

I think as siblings they’re not terrible, they’re just not the best sibset it could be.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] reiterating pp’s point that [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are both derived from [name_m]Charles[/name_m] so it would be a bit odd.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] sound nice together

I know that [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are a form of [name_m]Charles[/name_m]. That’s usually why I never know if they would work as siblings, I really like both names.
I thought that [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] were very close, but recently I heard both names together, and I didn’t find it very similar like I did before. So, that’s why I’m asking.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are both variations of [name_m]Charles[/name_m] so I think they are too close. But [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] make a perfectly good sibset.

I don’t mind [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] being sisters. I think they compliment each other nicely, and they have different sounds. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is a nice addition, also.

I think [name_f]Cora[/name_f] could work with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] in a two girl sibset but I don’t think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] should be in a sibset together.

I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] are too similar but I think either [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] sound lovely.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is cute, as is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f], but not all three together.

I think [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] sound too close for my comfort. I’d be saying [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] all the time! [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are fine together. I know [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are both derived from [name_m]Charles[/name_m], but I don’t think most people will know that in everyday life. They sound very different to me so I think it could be ok.

As others have mentioned, [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are forms of the same name, so they wouldn’t really work together. It’d be like having children named [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I find [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] a bit too similar in sound, but [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] would work together. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] sounds more cute and less mature than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] to me, but that’s a matter of personal taste anyways and they both have a vintage/classic feel while feeling current too due to their popularity right now.

Would you consider [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Cora[/name_f]? They share enough of the same sounds that it works to me. And of course there’s [name_f]Coraline[/name_f], which you could use the nickname [name_f]Cora[/name_f] for too.

Thanks for all the replies. I like [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] as well. I agree that most people wouldn’t know that [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are a form of [name_m]Charles[/name_m]. But it might not work well as siblings. I do like the [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] as siblings idea.
