Caroway

I’ve been liking Calloway a lot recently, but I also keep stumbling across Caraway and Caroway, so I want to hear other people’s thoughts!

  • Theres a Caroline I would like to honor, do you think Caroway could work for that?
  • What do you think of Caraway vs Caroway vs Carroway?
  • Will Caroway always be confused for Caraway?
  • What are some nicknames other (than Carrie)?

[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was [name_u]Nick[/name_u] Carraway from the Great [name_m]Gatsby[/name_m].

I think Caroway could honor [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. I’d just be prepared for some spelling issues down the line (though this is a struggle for even some common names, like Sofia/Sophia).

[name_f]Ro[/name_f], [name_u]Caro[/name_u], [name_u]Coco[/name_u] could all be nicknames.

I do slightly prefer [name_u]Caraway[/name_u] as it reminds me of the Great [name_m]Gatsby[/name_m]. I like Caroway too though! Great way to honour a Caroline:)

I really like it & think it’s a great honour name for a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], regardless of what spelling you pick. I do think there will likely be spelling issues with whatever variation. I like all of them pretty equally, so I’m not much help lol.

I like Caroway! I prefer the Carroway spelling. Nn [name_u]Caro[/name_u] maybe?

This is so true, I feel like harldy any names are totly spelling correction free

@kidpix21 @Greyblue I really like the suggestions for Ro, it’s short and sweet, I’m glad others thing it would work to honor Caroline, and I’m going to have to read Gatsby because thus far I have not

I like the Car-ee pronunciation for [name_f]Cari[/name_f], I hadn’t thought of that, thanks! @futuremama
