I am at a complete and total loss on names. In the past I always had a list of revolving names that was at least ten names long. This time around we aren’t finding out the sex and somehow that has led me down the road of no names!! Dh and I have discussed names a few times, but we generally aren’t agreeing on anything. Here’s our ‘lists’ (if you even want to call them that!):
Dh: [name]Audrey[/name], [name]William[/name]
Mine: [name]Margot[/name] and nothing!
I really like the names we chose for our older girls ([name]Carys[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]). Our last name starts with M, is two syllables, and ends with an ‘a’ sound (so most names that end in ‘a’ sound rhyme-y). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I don’t like trendy names nor unisex names. Ugh, this is hard!!!
Your two daughters, [name]Carys[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Annabel[/name], have beautiful names. I quite like [name]Margot[/name] as a sibling name and if you don’t mind alliteration ([name]Margot[/name] with your “M” surname) then I think this name would be a good choice. [name]Audrey[/name] is too rhymey with [name]Lucy[/name]. I would choose another distinct name with its own unique ending. Here are some suggestions. All the best! Girls

Dh and I talked this morning and I think we are both liking [name]Margot[/name] for a girl. No idea yet on a middle name, but our others have a 2 syllable/3 syllable pattern to their first/middle names. I like [name]Margot[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name], but it’s very similar to what a friend just named her daughter so I’m not sure about using that.
For a boy, here are a few we discussed and made it to the beginnings of a list:
[name]Max[/name] (not sure on a ‘formal’ name…[name]Maxwell[/name], ?)
[name]Nicholas[/name] ([name]Nick[/name] sounds good with our last name)
[name]Thomas[/name] (I see it more as a middle name)
Thanks! I really like [name]Margot[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] as well!
I was telling my husband this weekend that since I found this name this early on, this baby is sure to be a boy!
We really are no further on boy names. We don’t like [name]Thomas[/name] as a first name with our last name and we aren’t crazy about any of the more ‘formal’ names of [name]Max[/name]. That leaves [name]Nicholas[/name], which again, I’m just not feeling crazy about. I want to have this perfect feeling like I do with [name]Margot[/name] and I’m not finding it in boy names. The only name I’ve come across that made me pause was [name]Lincoln[/name], although I’m not that crazy about it with our last name and I’m assuming everyone would call him [name]Linc[/name]? Dh said he would call him [name]Lincoln[/name] log…gee thanks, honey!
Here is a list of boys names that I could see as a brother for [name]Carys[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name]. Stylistically you could go in some different directions. Sorry for repeats, I * my faves.
