I love all three! But I think [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] marginally wins. I’m sure they would get occasional friendly ghost or [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] comments but I’d still use them personally!
I like them all but my vote goes to [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. I’m a [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] girl.
I love both [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]! (Consequently, also the [name_m]German[/name_m] [name_m]Kaspar[/name_m], the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_m]Gaspard[/name_m]–although [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] is [name_m]French[/name_m], too–the Italian/Spanish [name_m]Gaspar[/name_m], the Dutch/Danish [name_m]Kasper[/name_m]… I basically just adore it in general!)
I have both [name_m]Gaspard[/name_m] and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] on my list as middles ([name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Gaspard[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]), so I feel like maybe I really shouldn’t pick, haha, and I love the associations to both (the [name_f]Magi[/name_f], not the friendly ghost), but [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] has more of the sort of feel I like. [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] to me, while I love it, has these muted colors, like sage green and khaki brown and mauve pink–not bad, but I just like the bright greens and pinks and yellows and the open sea and the utter feeling of honesty and goodness I get when I think of [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. While I’d consider using both up front, if it came down to it, I’d probably use [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] before I’d use [name_m]Caspar[/name_m].
I agree, I prefer [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] to [name_m]Casper[/name_m], and the friendly ghost connection feels stronger than the [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] reference so I prefer [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. Especially with cute nn’s like [name_m]Cas[/name_m] and [name_m]Cap[/name_m]
I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. The friendly ghost connection is definitely stronger than the [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] connection. The problem with [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] is that it’ll be spelled as [name_m]Casper[/name_m]… Maybe that’s just more familiar to people because of the ghost? Although, the rising popularity of the YouTuber [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] could change that among the younger generations.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], my absolute top favourite boys name! I love the sound and look and everything about [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], and I’m so glad it’s not popular (high popularity is a big issue for me). The [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] association is a bonus for me; it’s a great literary name, the old BBC episodes bring back some special childhood memories, and it makes the name even more magical. I can already imagine having a little [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] in the (very distant) future. :):)
I really like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. I think, at least in the US, the name [name_m]Casper[/name_m]/[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] still brings up images of the ghost to those my age (mid-twenties), but I also form strong associations with names so it could be just me. At the same time, I don’t think that the ghost associations is negative in anyway, so if I don’t think there’d be much issue over [name_m]Casper[/name_m]/[name_m]Caspar[/name_m].
I like [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. I’ve come to see [name_m]Casper[/name_m] - especially with the nickname [name_m]Cas[/name_m] - as a “cowboy name,” sort of the [name_m]Wild[/name_m] [name_u]West[/name_u]'s answer to the Old South’s [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. If that makes any sense. [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] is chic and European to me, whereas [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is magical and mysterious. I’m sure the associations to the friendly ghost and the Narnian prince will come up every now and then, but neither of them are negative associations.
I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. I love that it has a geographical connection and I’m just generally partial to -ian names. I also love the [name_m]German[/name_m] Kaspian since it reflects my heritage. I honestly can’t get past the friendly ghost association with [name_m]Casper[/name_m].
