[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I pretty much usually think of baby names when I’m out walking my dog.
Here are my thoughts-
Girls-
alaska fable-Alaska is a really pretty word, & this combo sounds nice. I’m not ready to accept it as a given name yet for some reason.
ivy eleanor-I love love the [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] part. I like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] in theory. It’s vintage & spunky & botanical. I just don’t like the sound as much as other people seem to.
amalthea iris-Interesting combo. I like the nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f]!
minerva owl ‘nim’-I’ve never been into [name_f]Minerva[/name_f]. I don’t like the ‘nerv’ part. But this is a neat combo anyway. [name_f]Nim[/name_f] is kind of fun for a nn. I also like [name_f]Minnie[/name_f].
maisey epiphany-Epiphany is a bit much, but I do love [name_f]Maisey[/name_f]. Would change to [name_f]Maisy[/name_f].
marla sparrow-Marla is not my cup of tea, but this is a fun unexpected combo. [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u] is so lovely.
april marieke-April is a tad dated in my opinion.
jona plum-Not sure I like this one. [name_f]Plum[/name_f] reminds me too much of plump.
casper lilibet-I like [name_m]Casper[/name_m] a lot for a boy. It doesn’t feel too unisex in my opinion.
katherine mabel july-That’s nice. [name_m]Classic[/name_m] & a little whimsical. I can never decide if I prefer [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], but edge towards [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] because of the nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Kit[/name_u]!
elowen joan-Ooh, [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. It’s very pixie like yet feels sleek & smart. I love the nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] too. [name_u]Joan[/name_u] is kind of charming, even though it’s not the best flow.
ophelia daisy ruth-I don’t know why I don’t care for [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. Most people seem to love it. It feels too dramatic for me. The [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] part though is just
amy meadowlark-That’s kind cute & interesting. I always thought that just [name_u]Lark[/name_u] had a harsh sound even though I like the bird imagery. But [name_u]Meadowlark[/name_u] is softer.
tilly madelief-That’s actually kind of cute even though neither of these names are quite my cup of tea.
lenora coast-Ooh, I never thought of [name_u]Coast[/name_u] as a word name. [name_f]Lenora[/name_f] [name_u]Coast[/name_u] is gorgeous.
mona ardith fern-Hm. I love the [name_f]Fern[/name_f] part. Not big on [name_f]Mona[/name_f]. It just reminds me of the word moan.
iona maeve-Oh, that’s really pretty & different.
willoughby fawn-Not into [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]. It sounds too goofy.
Boys-
frederick autumn-I would generally find [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] too feminine, but as a mn w/such a strong handsome masculine classic like [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], I like it! I’m really loving Fred/Freddie lately.
hazel william-Hazel feels too feminine. I love [name_u]William[/name_u]. [name_u]William[/name_u] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] isn’t bad.
remy alexander-That’s kind of handsome. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is charming.
beck rhodes-Hm. A bit abrupt. [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] [name_u]Rhodes[/name_u] would flow better.
elias peregrine ‘pip’-Aw, [name_u]Pip[/name_u]. This is a handsome combo. But I’d probably just do [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] if you wanted to do the nn [name_u]Pip[/name_u].
truett wilde-Cool mn, but I’m not into [name_m]Truett[/name_m]. Not sure why.
linus johnson-Linus is adorable. I don’t care much for [name_m]Johnson[/name_m].
jack valentine-That’s really cute & classic.
elio corentin-Meh, I can’t get into [name_m]Elio[/name_m]. It feels incomplete.
moses florian-Both personally nice names & this flows well. Not my cup of tea, but I have no good reason not to like them.
vincent june-Vincent is nice enough. Doesn’t excite me. [name_u]June[/name_u] is better for a girl.
august griffin-Love [name_u]August[/name_u]. It’s a pretty word but feels masculine & strong.
march isidore-I don’t know that I like the sound of [name_u]March[/name_u] that much.
calvin laurence-That’s handsome. I like this spelling of [name_u]Laurence[/name_u].
herschel appleby-Kind of cute, but I don’t think that I like the sound of [name_m]Herschel[/name_m].
jakob olivier-That’s nice. I like [name_m]Jakob[/name_m] & am okay w/this spelling, but [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is probably easier.
