Cassidy or Cassian for a boy?

[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] or [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] (cass - see - in) - Which do you prefer and why?

Both are nice but I prefer [name_m]Cassian[/name_m]! [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is cute but I know more girl Cassidys than male, and it feels quite 2000s to me. [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] is more cool and exciting.

Cassian is a bit grand for my personal taste, and I think [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is refreshing on a boy.

I like both but I prefer [name_m]Cassian[/name_m]!

Both are nice, but [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] is one of my favorite names! I would vote for that.

Cassidy, however, is lovely and bright on a boy.

Both of them are beautiful, but I personally prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] for a boy because it’s so underused these days! It also has a very sweet, down-to-[name_f]Earth[/name_f] vibe that I appreciate. But again, they’re both lovely!

I prefer [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] and agree with @tallemaja’ comments.

Caspian for a boy 100%. That’s how I would pronounce it too.

With [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] pronounced how you do, I prefer [name_m]Cassian[/name_m]. If it was “CASH-un” then I’d prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]. Both are cool though. [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] gives off adventure-y, sailing the seven seas, uncovering forgotten lore kind of vibes, while [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] seems more laidback, sipping slurpees on a hot summer day, playing soccer after school.

I prefer [name_m]Cassian[/name_m]. Not a fan of [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]’s sound.

Cassias, I know too many girls named [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]

Cassian is sweet and rugged. I like it

I am torn!

Cassian feels handsome and ancient but totally cool and current. Grand yet approachable.

Whereas [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] has a lovely nostalgia to it. It’s a little dated, but in a really laid-back, old school cool way. I get musical, summery, slightly bohemian vibes.

I’m going to go with [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]! I love it on a boy, and I love the warm, friendly, relaxed, nostalgic feel it gives me. But they’re both great, [name_u]Cass[/name_u] is awesome for a boy :sunglasses:

Cassidy is one of my favorite boy names!

I really like both! I met a 2-year-old boy named [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] about a month ago, and I was so excited. [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] is probably what I would. chose for myself, but I would be really excited about a male [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u].

I started musing about [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] a few months ago, and I’m so delighted to see it popping up more regularly!

Needless to say, that’s where my vote goes!

Cassidy feels feminine too me. [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] is really handsome. That’s my vote.

There isn’t anything wrong with [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], but I like [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] much more.

I love both but I love the fact that [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is more unique these days
