I love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] feels 90’s which is fine if that’s what you’re going for, but [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] feels timeless to me.
I agree there. My idea for her was to give her a literary name, therefore [name_u]Jo[/name_u] [name_u]March[/name_u]. But we’ll see what everyone thinks. Thanks!
I love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] nn [name_u]Jo[/name_u] as well. I agree that it’s a timeless, classic name while [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] still feels very 90s. It also strikes me as much more literary (thanks to the [name_u]Jo[/name_u] [name_u]March[/name_u] connection) than [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u].
If this is for a literary character, I actually love the sound of [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] Welles, or [name_u]Cass[/name_u] Welles. It sounds very punchy and memorable.
For a baby in 2020, I’d vote [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], but [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] “[name_u]Cass[/name_u]” feels perfect for a young adult character.
I second pp! [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] feels very 90s, but is totally usable on a character who is a teenager now.
If it’s for a baby, [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] has my vote, definitely!
Nope, not a baby. I’m not expecting a baby anytime soon. I honestly signed up here because it’s been very highly recommended for authors.
Wow, thanks for all the feedback! I definitely agree with a lot of people that [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is more timeless. I still intend on using the name for someone, perhaps my MC’s aunt, but as of right now, my leading lady is called [name_f]Zara[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] Welles.
Thanks again for the amazing feedback!!
