Cassidy or Madelyn

Almost due and struggling with a name decision. We are down to [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] or [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]. [name_f]Sister[/name_f] is named [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] but goes by her middle name [name_u]Wren[/name_u].

Also if we go with [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] which spelling do people prefer.

I would vote for [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f](spelling) with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], but if she goes by [name_u]Wren[/name_u], I think [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] flows better

I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] would be cute together!

If you use two C names, will you feel obligated to choose a third? You don’t have to, just something to consider. It’s even less of a consideration when your eldest goes by a non-C name.

I vote [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]. [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] is lovely in full, but there are many little Maddys and Addys running around. If you used a nickname, it might get confusing at times. On the other hand, [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], or [name_f]Cassie[/name_f], is easily recognized, has a nice flow, has a pretty standard spelling, and is also lovely.

Wren and [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]

[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]/ [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]! I tend to prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] as a masculine name. I also like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]/ [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] more than [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], even when considering she often goes by [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] still wins out over [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] for me.

I love [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]!

I like the [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] spelling best! I prefer [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] over [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], but [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] over [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f].

Cassidy!

I prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] personally (although part of me wants to say [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] because my and my sister’s middle names are [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [pn lynn] so those two always feel great together lol). But still, I prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u].

I prefer [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], especially with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite spelling is [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]

I’d go with [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], as its beautiful, less common, and doesn’t end in a “lyn” or “line” sound. [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] are too similar for me. Plus I think [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] goes better with [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. What would her middle name be, and would she go by it?

I typically would prefer [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], but it sounds too similar to [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. Especially since [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]’s ending is taking up almost the entirety of “[name_u]Wren[/name_u].” So I would go with [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u].

I prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]! Quirky and cute

Cassidy!

Cassidy for sure! [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] and all the other spelling variations are sooo common now, and it would feel boring next to spunky [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] or [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Cass[/name_u]/Cassie would be perfect!

Thank you all. Think [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is the winner. Now we just need [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] to hurry up

I love [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]! [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] if you want to pronounce it with the lynn sound.
