Cassidy?

[name]Just[/name] wondering what you think.

I know it started out as a boys’ name, but I don’t care about that.
Also, I’m not a fan of the nns [name]Cass[/name] or [name]Cassie[/name].

I’ve always liked the name [name]Cassidy[/name]. I know a teenaged girl named [name]Cassidy[/name] who sometimes goes by [name]Cass[/name] but never [name]Cassie[/name]. I think [name]Cassie[/name] is avoidable but if you don’t like [name]Cass[/name] you might want to reconsider.

[name]Cassidy[/name] is cute, but I don’t see it aging well. It’s a little too cutesy for me.

I like [name]Cassidy[/name], but I also like [name]Cassandra[/name] simply because I love [name]Cass[/name] and [name]Cassy[/name] as nns. I don’t think I would use the name if I didn’t care for the nickname.

[name]Even[/name] though my co-worker’s 4 year old daughter bears that name…I can’t help but feel it sounds dated. Maybe its cause of [name]David[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name], but it sounds like 70s name to me.

I think if you don’t like either nickname option it’s best to avoid using the name, because people always want to give nicknames and she herself may want to use one of them.
