Cassidy?

I have really liked the name [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] for a while now. I love that I’ve never heard it in the forum and I’ve never met anyone in real life with the name. The only thing holding me back is that I think it might be on the cutesy side. I don’t know if I can picture an adult or old woman named [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]. This being said, I feel the same about other names such as [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], etc when used as full names. However, I feel like [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is on the border - not as cutesy as my examples but still on that side if that makes sense.
What are your thoughts on the name? Does it seem too cutesy for a grownup or do you think it can age well?

I only know grown-up Cassidys and they are both the opposite of cutes-y. They’re beautiful women, but they’re also super confident and intelligent.
It’s a great name!

I wouldn’t describe [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] as being the least bit cutesy. A strong and interesting name.

[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is not cutesy. I know several grown women named [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], and they all wear the name well.

Hijacking thread for a moment please b/c I love this name too…
To the women who know a [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] in real life - does everyone call her [name_u]Cass[/name_u]? I love the name [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] too but not in love with the nn [name_u]Cass[/name_u] for some reason and know you can’t control it, but curious if most people just naturally turn to that nickname?

Not that I know one in real life, but if I have daughter named [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] I was planning on using the nickname [name_u]Cass[/name_u] but in an informal way, such as friends/family calling her that sometimes. But to me [name_u]Cass[/name_u] doesn’t sound like a formal used-by-everyone nickname like calling a [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] [name_u]Sam[/name_u] or an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Liz[/name_f] for example.

Not a fan…[name_m]David[/name_m] [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] of the Partridge family comes to mind.
