I’m one of those girls who has always preferred cats over dogs (sorry dog people and dogs, I still love you too!)
Here’s my list of baby names associated with cats… Any other suggestions?
[name_f]Callie[/name_f] - This is actually my cat’s name (my niece named her) and it’s supposed to be short for Calico [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] / [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (along with all the other ways to spell them) with the nn [name_f]Cat[/name_f] / [name_f]Kat[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] - A demon often depicted as a cat (I actually read about this name in a cat book, that’s when I fell in love with it ) [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Tabby[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] because it sounds deliciously witchy! [name_f]Tabby[/name_f] as a nickname is perfect. [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] is a lot of fun too, though I would also suggest [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], and [name_f]Luna[/name_f]:) Cats are the best and I’m so happy for you!

My little kitty is [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] nn [name_u]Ari[/name_u]. He’s a boy, even though I know [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] is generally feminine. It’s used for boys too, & I liked the sound of it for a boy. Anyway, I named him that because [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] is the Olympian goddess of hunting and the moon. That seemed very cat, don’t you think? And then [name_u]Ari[/name_u] means ‘lion’ in Hebrew, which made sense as his nn. He’s a very sweet little [name_u]Ari[/name_u].
I adore [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] I’ll be using it if I ever have a girl!!!
