I’m obsessed with these names, but I really can’t decide Which one do you prefer? What kind of girl/woman you think of when you hear these names?
Thank you!

As nice (and more sparingly used) as [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is, I have a soft spot for [name_f]Catherine[/name_f].
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] can be kind of an “everywoman” name, but I think it definitely has a soft elegance, like the Duchess of Cambridge!
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] is a little snappier? Both are so classic and clean, but [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is just a little bit fresher, wilder–she is the one who gets lost in Wonderland, after all. But, even with that being said, I like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] better for myself, for what it’s worth. It’s a quieter beauty.
Both names are family names for me (if fact, [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is my mn. I was named after my aunt and godmother). Both are lovely in their own way. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is strong and stately while [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is sweet and spunky. I slightly prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f] myself but that may be because I’m biased.
I agree with a pp that [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] could fit pretty much any woman, it’s so common that it is kind of non-specific as far as name imagery goes. I’d describe the name itself as strong but soft, classy, elegant, regal. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] I see as sweet, playful, a bit vintage. I like that both names are feminine but not frilly. Both give off a nurturing vibe to me.
If I had to pick I’d probably choose [name_f]Alice[/name_f] because I grew up with a lot of [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]'s but have never really known an [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
