Cato vs. Cado

Trying to narrow down options for our baby boy due in 6 weeks.

My husband prefers Cado so he can use [name_u]Cade[/name_u] as a nickname, however when I looked it up, I found it’s the first person conjugation of “I die/I cease” in Italian… not exactly something I love.

So, I’d love some opinions on [name_u]Cato[/name_u] vs. Cado. Middle name will most likely be [name_m]Alexander[/name_m].

Thanks in advance!

Definitely [name_u]Cato[/name_u], 100% great name!

Definitely [name_u]Cato[/name_u]! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

Well Cado makes me think of [name_f]Cadeau[/name_f], which is the word for “present” in french.

[name_u]Cato[/name_u] makes me think of scatophile  (because people use only scato and not scatophile). It is kind of bad.

I would go with Cade I guess!

What do you think of Acacio?
