I love the name Cayd and the spelling. I want to use it for a boy. Some people have told me that the Y in this spelling makes the name seem girly. what do you think. Does the Y make the name seem girly?
Thanks.

I don’t think it makes it look girly, but I don’t like it. It looks weird to me. I prefer [name_u]Cade[/name_u].
I do not like that spelling at all, I don’t think it looks girly, I think it doesn’t look like a name.
I love the name [name_u]Kade[/name_u], and it has been on my list for years. I prefer the [name_u]Kade[/name_u] spelling, but [name_u]Cade[/name_u] is nice too. I have also seen Kaid, and Caid. Again…[name_u]Kade[/name_u] is best in my eyes.
I don’t think it looks feminine or girly - when I first read it I thought definitely boy - but I do think it’ll cause a lot of issues with misspelling. I’d recommend sticking with [name_u]Cade[/name_u] or [name_u]Kade[/name_u], both more familiar spellings.
It doesn’t look feminine to me. All it does is look like a tacky, creative spelling of a common name.
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t do that to your child!
It doesn’t look girly at all but it might lead to pronunciation/spelling problems in the future.
