[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries,
I am decided on [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] if my bump turns out to be pink. However, I find [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] a bit ‘grown up’ for a baby so will want to give her a cute nickname. I like [name_f]Cordy[/name_f], [name_f]Dilly[/name_f] or [name_f]Delia[/name_f] but prefer [name_f]Cece[/name_f]. Does [name_f]Cece[/name_f] works as a nickname or only if her first and middle name begin with C? I know it’s a technicality and can call her whatever I please, but I just like things to be ‘proper’, it’s my OCD.
Other options are
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Cherry[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
Any other suggestions for middle names beginning with C? Or should I just stick with [name_u]Sage[/name_u]?
Thank you xx
I really like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]! I think you should stick with it! I like [name_f]Delia[/name_f] best as a nickname, it’s short and sweet and still is linked to the name. I think a little baby called [name_f]Delia[/name_f] would be really cute! [name_f]Cece[/name_f], it’s alright, not really my kind of thing though.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps you out!
Im in love with the name [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and i think it sounds really good with [name_u]Sage[/name_u] so i would go for that. About the nick name i think [name_f]Cece[/name_f] can work without the middle needing to be a “C” name. I also know a [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Coco[/name_f] she is 6 now and its really cute on here.
I think it works without the double C names. People with the double C name help to solidfy the name, but I do not think that that is how the nickname originated.
Cute!! I love [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].
If you’re going to use [name_u]Sage[/name_u], I would not add another food-related middle next to it ([name_f]Cherry[/name_f] or [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]). But I do love the idea of having first and middle “C” names to get to “[name_f]Cece[/name_f].” Are you totally married to [name_u]Sage[/name_u]? I like it, but I like the idea of a “C” middle name better. And not with the addition of a third name/second middle. What about:
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Capri[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_u]Cai[/name_u]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Carys[/name_f]/[name_f]Charis[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Constance[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is totally fine, although I’m sure most people you come across will assume her name is [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f].
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cece[/name_f] works perfectly. I’m not a stickler for the nickname being connected to the given name.
[name_f]IMO[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is so beautiful! I think [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is a fine nn for [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. Having two mn’s is a huge thing in my family.
We often call my [name_f]Violet[/name_f] ‘VV’ like vee-vee… for no particular reason. I think [name_f]CeCe[/name_f] is cute on [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], but [name_f]Coco[/name_f], OMG adorable.
