Out of [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], and [name_f]Celia[/name_f], which name do you think goes the best with the a sibset of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] “[name_u]Theo[/name_u]”, [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Louis[/name_m] (pronounced like [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]), and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] “[name_f]Eve[/name_f]/[name_f]Evie[/name_f]”?
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] definitely goes best with the sibling names, and I think it’s the prettiest too.
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is sweet, and I like [name_f]Celia[/name_f] too but neither feel as special or gorgeous as [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f].
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is lovely! It’s the best with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] in my opinion.
I think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] goes best with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]. It’s my favourite version of the name. I just think it sounds joyous and spunky and it’s feminine without going over-the-top in the frills.
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] is my favorite! It’s very elegant like your other names, but not overly frilly. I like that it’s a more streamlined version of [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. Though, [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] are both nice names as well. I just prefer [name_f]Celia[/name_f].
I’m a sucker for [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]…that’s just the drama geek in me though because of the Importance of Being [name_m]Ernest[/name_m].
I also love [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] – I’m more prone to liking [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] as it has two beautiful names in one. If you went with that spelling you would have to of the names you like in one and could call her [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] (literally the same as [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] - no change in sound) and also call her [name_f]Celia[/name_f]!
But my number one choice would be [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] – it’s slightly more unknown and it just packs such a punch! Totally flawless in my mind!
I love [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]. If you have a very common last name, I would probably go with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] as it may be a bit less common. I would use [name_f]Celia[/name_f] as a nn.
If I were to go with one of these names personally, I would choose [name_f]Celia[/name_f]. But since you like all of these I would go with [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] because you could always use [name_f]Celia[/name_f] as a nickname. Gives you two of your names for one, which is always a wonderful thing.
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]. It was a hard decision - I love [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], but I have a bad association with it of a girl I don’t like. [name_f]Celia[/name_f] is gorgeous, and I love its meaning (heavenly) but overalll I think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] works best with the other names provided.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is magical and perfect sounding I think. It stands up the best to [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], which have a rather stately sound.
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] cuts some of its regalness and sounds more cute and bouncy, without being made-up. [name_f]Cicely[/name_f] would be a bit more flower-fairy. Either [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] or [name_f]Cicely[/name_f] fit in well with [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] doesn’t work as well for me as either of the other two.
I think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is best with your sibset. It’s a bit unexpected, and it feels the most ladylike, English, and dignified (which is the vibe I get from your other names.) [name_f]My[/name_f] personal fave is [name_f]Celia[/name_f] though. It goes beautifully with [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f], but sounds a little insubstantial next to [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].
Since your specific question was regarding the sibset, I’d pick [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]. I love all of the names, so I don’t think you can go wrong.
However, I’m nitpicky about things matching too closely, and the endings if [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] bother me as being too matchy.
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] is a very nice name and was on our shortlist for awhile. However, I don’t think it quite measures up to the other names in your set.
I think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is a lovely name with its own unique sound. It is strong, elegant, fun, and can wear well from a baby through maturity. It stands up to the other names in the sibset and is compatible without blending in.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] my two cents. Good luck!
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Louis[/name_m] & [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] I think [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] or [name_f]Celia[/name_f] would go best.
