Ceiro - is this a name?

I found Ceiro on a list of Welsh baby names and also on a couple of baby name websites. They say that the meaning of the name is love. But, I can’t find much more information about it and I don’t know whether I can trust these websites.

Is it a name? Is it Welsh? Does it mean love? Can anyone help?

According to behindthename.com, [name_f]Ceri[/name_f], a similar Welsh name, may come from ‘caru’ (to love in Welsh) and so Ceiro might be a variation?

Thanks  I hope it is because I like the name and think ‘love’ is a great meaning

Perhaps the ‘n’ was missed off and it’s a Welsh variant of [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] (keer-an)?

There’s also Ceiriog (kye-[name_f]REE[/name_f]-og) so I’m guessing it’d be ‘kye-r’n’.

do you mean maybe the n was missed off historically or on the website?
I quite like Ceiriog, I’ve never seen that one before

[name_m]How[/name_m] do you think Ceiro would be pronounced? I’ve seen [name_u]KAY[/name_u]-ro (my favourite), KEH-ro, and [name_u]KYE[/name_u]-ro

Based on Ceirog, I’d guess it’d be ‘kye-ro’, like the city.

I meant maybe it was missing off the website. I don’t know though, it’s hard to trust internet sources sometimes.

Yeah, there’s a lot of conflicting information about names on the internet, especially for Welsh names, I’ve found. But, I’ve seen it spelt Ceiro on quite a few websites - though maybe they all used one incorrect website as a source!

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband named our cat this, so it must be a name. I hadn’t heard it before and I’m not sure where he came up with it.
