What do you guys think of the combo [name_f]Celandine[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]? [name_f]Celandine[/name_f] is a botanical name, pronounced SEL-an-dyne. This is our top name if we have another daughter. Siblings are [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_u]Anderson[/name_u], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], and [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]. [name_f]Celandine[/name_f] doesn’t quite fit in, but we really love it. Her nickname would be [name_m]Colt[/name_m] (not really related to the name but for Grandpa [name_m]Colten[/name_m]).
Thoughts?
Should probably add, 90 percent of the time they would be Theo, Anders, Edie, Ani, and Colt.

I love the name, and while I agree it doesn’t really match your other names, I think it’s very doable.

I would pronounce Celadine SEL-uh-deen, but I LOVE [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]!

Love [name_f]Celandine[/name_f]! I read a wonderful series of books in which the heroine was named [name_f]Celandine[/name_f] as a child.
I actually think it fits in quite well. Yes, it’s more unusual than your other children’s names, but it blends the solid, woodsy vibe of your boys’ names, the vintage storybook feel of [name_f]Edith[/name_f] and the delicacy of [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]

I like it! I would’ve read this as SELL-uh-deen at first but it’s an easy fix.

That’s a lovely name! I pronounce it slightly differently (Sell-uhn-deen); I also like the pronunciation you use, but possible mispronunciations are something to keep in mind!
It is a bit different from sibling names, but that doesn’t prohibit you from using it. [name_m]Colt[/name_m] is a creative nickname, and that’s a lovely way to honor her grandfather!

I say it as Cel-in-deen and prefer it said that way. It’s pretty, but I like the name [name_f]Selene[/name_f] more.
