What are your thoughts on [name_f]Celia[/name_f]? On one hand, it looks and sounds beautiful, means [name_f]Heavenly[/name_f], and reminds me of a name I love but can’t use, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. On the other hand, it’s close to the word Celiac (like Celiac disease) and reminds me of [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], which means Blind, although the names started separately.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer: [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] “[name_f]Addie[/name_f]” or “[name_f]Della[/name_f]”, [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] “[name_f]Bea[/name_f]” or “Bex”, or [name_f]Celia[/name_f] “[name_f]Cece[/name_f]”? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Celia[/name_f] or [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]?
Any other names you think I might like?
Some names I like but can’t use: [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] names with nicknames!
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] is pretty, reminds me of the [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and Garfunkel song, prefer it to [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and their respective nicknames too!
I don’t think of celiac disease at all, even though I am aware of the connotation. It’s just when I think of [name_f]Celia[/name_f], I think of its meaning “heavenly” and how pretty it sounds more than anything. I say go for it.
I love [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and definitely prefer it to [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] probably equally.
I love [name_f]Celia[/name_f], I think it’s a “quiet” classic like [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f]/[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. I also really like [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and the awesome thing is that both [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] have [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and Garfunkel songs! I am not at all a fan of [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]. For me it’s an unnecessary misspelling of such a classic and international name, I dislike it to the same degree that I would dislike Elyzabith. I have seen people justify this choice of spelling because it shortens to [name_f]Cece[/name_f] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and I think that’s just really a silly excuse. Cecilia. Cecilia. I’m sorry for my little rant, but recently we had a cousin considering this spelling and this is everything I wish I had said to her but was too shy to. Her baby ended up being a boy, though, what a relief! It’s really a pet-peeve of mine.
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] (If this is what you’re going to call her most of the time, then just go with it!)
