Celinda

What do you think, Berries? What is your first impression of [name]Celinda[/name]? Could you see this being used? [name]Do[/name] you like the sound/meaning? [name]Do[/name] you know anyone with this name? Honest opinions and thoughts, please.

I’ve never heard it before. Sounds slightly made up but it works!

Behind the Name says it’s a blend of [name]Celia[/name] and [name]Linda[/name]. I don’t know if that’s true or not, and I don’t like [name]Celia[/name] or [name]Linda[/name]. I guess it could be a variant of Celandine… In any case the sound of it is quite nice. Sibilant and feminine.

Wow, this name brings up childhood memories for me. My sister and I would play make-believe games where we had imaginary friends and family and in one of them, my name was [name]Celinda[/name]. The game was set in the modern era and [name]Celinda[/name] was really cool, social, friendly, smart and fashionable (what every girl wants to be, I guess… haha). I’ve never seen it on a real person but if I did I would be impressed.

When I google [name]Celinda[/name] a lot of pictures of white flowers come up but all of the links are in Spanish. Is it a common name for a type of flower? Thanks for the feedback so far. I appreciate the thoughts, impressions, and opinions on [name]Celinda[/name].

I’ve heard of the [name]Indian[/name] name [name]Kalinda[/name] before. Is it pronounced the same as that?

My middle name is [name]Celina[/name] which I love. [name]Celinda[/name] seems like some weird version of it. I think it works, but isn’t as nice.

I’ve been saying [name]Celinda[/name] more like [name]Celine[/name] than [name]Kalinda[/name] - “See-lin-da”, with a soft C. Is that correct? Is “Keh-lin-da” a legitimate alternative pronounciation of [name]Celinda[/name]?

The first thing that popped into my head was a lady from a Soap [name]Opera[/name] my mom used to watch (ATWT maybe?) Her name was [name]Lucinda[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t ask why thats just what jumped in! Its very close to [name]Celina[/name], so if people misheard her say [name]Celinda[/name], they could easily be mistaken. I think it is pretty and could work, just make sure as she grows up, she owns it! Teach her to say it loud and proud so no one calls her [name]Celina[/name] and she just doesn’t correct them.

At first I read [name]Cinderella[/name].

It sounds made up- sorry.

[name]Melinda[/name], [name]Belinda[/name] I’ve heard before.

Made up? It’s been my name for 52 years. Also the name of White House correspondent [name]Celinda[/name] [name]Lake[/name] and many others.

Doesn’t mean it’s not made up. ???

I agree that it sounds made up. My first thought was that it sounded like a prescription drug.

It’s interesting. I kind of like it. I’ve heard Salindra before, but never [name]Celinda[/name].

I’m not a fan of it… it sounds made up and I really dislike the name [name]Linda[/name]… it just reminds me of that too much…

It is close to the word for the shape cylinder.
