For some reason I gravitate towards a lot of French names for girls; there’s just something about the -e ending that I like. I like the name [name]Celine[/name], but I can’t shake the [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name] association (not that I dislike [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name], but I wouldn’t want my kid to be automatically associated with a famous person if I can avoid it). [name]Do[/name] you automatically think of [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name] when you hear the name?
I don’t think of [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name]. I like the name [name]Celine[/name]. It’s very pretty and soft sounding.
I went through a phase where I loved [name]Celine[/name], and I had the same problem. I do think of [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name]. But I think the association would wear off once your friends and relatives met the child.
I think of [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name] right away. I also think of [name]Selene[/name] from the Underworld series
[name]Celine[/name] could be a nn for [name]Marceline[/name]
[name]Celestine[/name] has the same meaning as [name]Celine[/name] and it would be a stretch but [name]Celine[/name] could be a nn
I don’t think of it when I see [name]Selene[/name], but I do think of it when I see [name]Celine[/name].
I would personally rather use [name]Cerise[/name] or [name]Celeste[/name] than deal with the [name]Dion[/name] baggage of [name]Celine[/name]. But I do like [name]Selena[/name].
I used to be (and still am to some extent) a huge fan of [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name]. So, yes, I do think of that association. That being said, I don’t think it’s a bad association to have with that name. I think [name]Celine[/name] is a beautiful name. There are singers out there that I would not want to have name association with, but [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name] is not one of them. I don’t think she’s incredibly popular with the younger crowd anymore, so that wouldn’t be an issue. It’s not like she’s [name]Justin[/name] Bieber. If you were naming your child [name]Miley[/name], then yes, I would try and stay away from association like that. But I don’t think you’d have a big issue with [name]Celine[/name].
I think of Underworld…
I hear [name]Celine[/name] dion but I don’t think it’s a huge deal, if you’re worried you [name]Mingus[/name] consider marceline or something similar as an alternative.
I do think of [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name], but that’s okay. The association is strong because it’s not a very common name. But I don’t think it’s a reason not to choose it (whether you like her singing or not~) . It’s a pretty name.
I think of [name]Julie[/name] Delpy’s character in “Before Sunrise.” Beautiful name! I didn’t even think if [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name]. Maybe because her first and last name run together that it seems like they’re connected? You never hear her first name on its own. It’s always tied to her last, so I forget that her actual name is [name]Celine[/name]. I hope that made some bit of sense
[name]How[/name] about [name]Cecile[/name]?
