Cenia?

I’ve been on the hunt for a C girl name that’s different…but easy to pronounce. I came across the Greek name Cenia. I would pronounce it Sen-ee-a. Do you agree with that pronunciation and what are your thoughts?
I can’t find much on it so all opinions and thoughts are welcome!
Also big sis is Charlotte. Do they go together ?
I suppose I should add hubby thinks this is too “out there”. Is he right? He prefers Clara or Claudia.

I think the pronunciation makes sense, but I’m not a big fan of the look or sound. It especially feels a little unusual compared to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].

If you want a C name that feels a bit more familiar, that your [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] loving hubby might like, how about [name_f]Cerelia[/name_f]?

It’s a beautiful name that has a history, and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Cerelia[/name_f] feel a little more cohesive together for me than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and Cenia.

Cenia is pretty and I’d pronounce it as you do. It does feel very different to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] though

Cenia is such a pretty name, and I think it looks nice next to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. Honestly, I’m a fan of most Greek names, and thus one is just lovely! If you really don’t go with it, my next choice would be [name_f]Claudia[/name_f].

I would say it’s an anglicised version of Xenia, meaning hospitality. With that in mind, see-nee-uh, sen-ee-uh, sen-ya or seen-ya would make sense to me as pronunciations.

I do feel it is a bit mismatched with Charlotte, one being such a traditional name with lots of history and the other being an uncommon spelling of an uncommon name. Perhaps the similar yet more familiar Celia appeals to you?
