Changes to our future baby name list

So for the past year, we’ve had the name [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] on our list. I love how soft and gentle it sounds, but as both those names are now getting more popular for girls, I think that both names together might look too feminine.
So DH and I decided to change-

[name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] to [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]

and

[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] to [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Hezekiah[/name_m]

What do you think?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the names and do they work better now or before?

I personally think [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] worked better.

Not only because I prefer [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] over [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], but also because [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] sounds a tad better in my ears.

And I don’t really think the femininity (is that a word?) would be an issue, mostly because people won’t hear his middle name a lot.

I think [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] is a very handsome combo, so I wouldn’t change it.

I agree with the pp. I would also suggest changing [name_u]Austen[/name_u] to [name_m]Austin[/name_m] so that it looks more masculine, I would expect an [name_u]Austen[/name_u] to be feminine but that might just be me. [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is very handsome too.

Thanks, but we love [name_u]Austen[/name_u] because of the slight difference in pronunciation, the fact it’s different from [name_m]Austin[/name_m] [name_u]Texas[/name_u], and [name_m]Austin[/name_m] [name_m]Powers[/name_m], and because I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u]

I like [name_u]Austen[/name_u] for a boy but not [name_u]Elisha[/name_u].
[name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is a great change. Not crazy about [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], that name still always makes me think of E.T.

What about [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]?

I don’t think that [name_u]Austen[/name_u] would really be a problem, but I think it would be better to use [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] over [name_u]Elisha[/name_u]. I like [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] so much. I wouldn’t change that one.

Would you pronounce [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] like ee-lie-shuh? I actually like [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] a lot which surprises me. I really like the suggestion of [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] too. I think people would be more familiar with [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. Some people might think you gave him a girly middle name if you used [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] (el-lee-shuh).

I like [name_u]Austen[/name_u] a lot! (Huge [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] fan here too!)

I prefer [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] to [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], but I love the suggestion of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]! [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is very handsome.

Thanks all! Yes, [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] is pronounced ee-lie-sha, it’s a biblical boy’s name.
