Hello, gals, guys and nonbinary pals! I’ve been thinking about changing my mn to something else besides my current mn. If you haven’t seen my post I’m FtNB(Female to Nonbinary), on a previous post to a topic, I mentioned of changing my name to Vesper(which I’m currently starting to do irl, and not just online), and I haven’t been feeling connected to the name [name_f]Rose[/name_f], minus being a family name. But I want to see if there’s any more androgynous sounding names than [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I’ll give a bit info about myself; I’m 20, going on 21, I’m heck’n short, currently have short brown hair that I’m planning on dying blonde, I have green-hazel eyes, wear glasses, a slight overbite, two tattoos on both of my shoulders, and I’m pale. I like all music, country being my least favorite and alternative being my favorite, I like anything astrology and space orientated. I’m a musical nerd, I’m artistic, and I plan on being a voice actor after college. [name_f]My[/name_f] personality is similar to a stereotypical cat; wants attention when I’m not receiving it and when I receive it I don’t want it, introvert, shy and I’m clumsy.
I love this description, and I can relate!
How do you feel about Vesper Florian? Florian is well recognised as a name for men, however due to the floral association most people do not find it masculine. If you want to keep a link to Rose, it obviously has that with the floral association. The rhyming Dorian is similar.
Other ideas:
Vesper James
Vesper Jay
Vesper Jem
Vesper Eden
Vesper Hope
Vesper Kai
Vesper Beau
Vesper Celandine (listed as for girls here on NB but I have always found it gender neutral)
[name_f]My[/name_f] daughter’s name is [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]. [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is rather similar to [name_f]Rose[/name_f] – [name_f]Rose[/name_f] was originally going to be the middle name but I ended up wanting a gender neutral name. [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is nice!
I also love EdgeOfTheMeadow’s suggestions of [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_u]Florian[/name_u], [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u], and [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f].
I know someone who named themself [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] because it could be shortened to [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], while also being a typically more masc name.
