Changing our middle name choice

My wife and I had settled on [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] for our daughter’s name, but I started to feel like it was a little heavy. We have a long, hyphenated last name, and the first surname is three syllables and ends in an “en” sound, so I felt like [name]Imogen[/name] was creating a weird echo effect. Anyway, we still want a name that begins with I - we’re loving [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Isobel[/name]. WDYT?

I like [name]Isabel[/name] better, yes.

[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] sounds gorgeous!!

It certainly doesn’t end with en, but it’s still three syllables, which might be a bit too long still with the hyphenated surname. What about something even simpler, like [name]Iris[/name], [name]Ilsa[/name], [name]Isaure[/name], [name]Isla[/name], [name]Ismene[/name], or [name]Isis[/name]?

[name]Both[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] & [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Isobel[/name] are lovely name combos.

[name]Blade[/name] - I hear what you’re saying. Our last name is a real pain when it comes to name choices - one of the reasons we chose a one-syllable first name for our little girl! [name]One[/name] of the things we like about [name]Isobel[/name], though, is that it’s common enough to “ground” [name]Maeve[/name] a little - since we don’t plan to call her by her full three names (or even first and middle) very often we thought the length might be passable. Does that make sense?

Other longer name choices…(that said, none are overly common/grounding but all are pretty)

[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Isaline[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Ivory[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Ireland[/name]

[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] is short pretty and common enough to have a grounding effect.
