I’m totally stuck on a name for my fourth. It will be my 2nd baby girl. We had a name chosen of [name_u]Emery[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], but I’ve fallen out of love with it. I thought it was the middle name I wasn’t happy with, but it’s both names. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband still really likes it but is open.
Suddenly I’m feeling like [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Celia[/name_f] is more fitting for her. I’ve also taken a like towards [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] or [name_u]Gwynn[/name_u] …BUT I want the name to also flow with our other children’s names, especially with her sisters. We have [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] [name_m]Bernard[/name_m], [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Middle names are all names tied to our families. I’m just stumped all around. The middle name I would like to use is [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] (my grandmother)or [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] (my moms middle). [name_u]Jean[/name_u] has ties, but not strong ones and I’m not crazy about using it now. It just sounded good with [name_u]Emery[/name_u]. HELP!
Maybe you’d like [name_f]Celie[/name_f], if [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] don’t quite right. Also [name_f]Celie[/name_f] seems to fit slightly better with her siblings’ names. I’ve met a [name_m]Seely[/name_m] before who was really beautiful, smart, and athletic. I think it could go well with either middle name option.
I really like [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. Are you wanting 2 middles like your oldest daughter? [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] could go with just about any first name.
I like [name_u]Gwynn[/name_u], I met a little Gwynnen once and she was very cute. How about [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] or [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] or [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_u]Emery[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]? I like [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
Thank you! I’m open to using two middle names and I do really like [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] together. Great suggestions. It’s nice to get another persons opinion aside from close family. I do really like [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]!
I really like [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] for you. If you use nicknames, [name_f]Cece[/name_f] and [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] are cute together. Not much help as I think [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] is sweet too! Have you considered [name_f]Esther[/name_f] in the first name spot? It has the same meaning as [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and I had not thought of it but one day I heard a mom call her little girl [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and right away I felt it was so sweet. Also, [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] means [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] so that could be a sweet middle as well.
Yes! I love the nickname [name_f]Cece[/name_f] which is what made me gravitate towards [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Celia[/name_f] during my name search. [name_f]Celia[/name_f] meaning heavenly is what really draws me to this particular one. But I love the longer [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] as well. And [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] meaning heavenly pearl just does something for me, but I may have to add in [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] because I am starting to really like the combo use of them together! And then there is [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] which I’m also stuck on…Thank you for the suggestions!
I am loving [name_u]Gwynn[/name_u] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].
I love [name_u]Gwynn[/name_u] or [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]. Im not a fan of [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] or [name_f]Celia[/name_f] so im not the right person to ask on those. I am more excited about [name_u]Gwynn[/name_u]/Gwyneth over [name_u]Emery[/name_u] although [name_u]Emery[/name_u] is nice. [name_u]Emery[/name_u] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] has pretty alliteration - like it more than [name_u]Jean[/name_u] by far!
I think [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] are both absolutely gorgeous, but very much a departure from your other daughter’s name. If I heard a sibset of [name_m]Daxton[/name_m], [name_u]Nolan[/name_u], [name_u]Monroe[/name_u], and [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] or [name_m]Daxton[/name_m], [name_u]Nolan[/name_u], [name_u]Monroe[/name_u], and [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f], I would think the first three were brothers and that [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] was the only girl. I think your original choice, [name_u]Emery[/name_u], was a much better fit stylistically with [name_u]Monroe[/name_u], but I totally understand falling out of love with a name and having to go back to the drawing board - that has happened to me a few times over this pregnancy!
I really like other posters’ suggestions of doing a double middle name, because you did this with [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]’s name, and it would let you incorporate more than one of these longer, more femme-sounding favorites. Double middles could be [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], Ceceila [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f], [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], or [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].
I’ll brainstorm some combos for you, incorporating more unisex sounding first names or surnames as firsts that go well with [name_u]Monroe[/name_u], as well as some of these double middle options:
Monroe [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Winslet[/name_f] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Austen[/name_u] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Fallon[/name_u] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and Emersen [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Anniston[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
I agree with those saying [name_f]Celia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] would feel a bit mismatched with your other names, especially [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]. [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] or [name_f]Camille[/name_f], might work better? I do love the name [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and think that or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] would work well with your other kids.
Hi, as you like [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], I wondered if you’d also like [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]?
Some other ideas:

([name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f])
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
([name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u])
[name_u]Ember[/name_u]
([name_u]Ember[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f])
I was going to talk in about [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]/Celia or [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f], both are very beautiful names, but after reading lavenderwitch’s response I have to agree that in sibset [name_m]Daxton[/name_m], [name_u]Nolan[/name_u], [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] & [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]/CeliaGwyneth, I’d assume [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/Celia/Gwyneth is the only girl (since they’re frilly and girly while [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] is masculine). If you love those names though, in my opinion that’s what matters!
Really like [name_u]Gwynn[/name_u] for you.
Your children’s names remind me of:
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u]
[name_u]Greer[/name_u]
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f]
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] (my favourite for you - has a feel like [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] while stylistically fitting well with the sibset)
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u]
[name_f]Twyla[/name_f] (another favourite)
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f]/Briony
[name_u]Fallon[/name_u]
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u]
Couldn’t agree more. As much as I love the names they don’t match with the siblings. And that’s important to me. I tend to lean more towards the unisex names but I’m just not falling in love with anything. Thanks for the help and feedback!
Cecelia [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is beautiful !
Maybe a name similar to [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] with a [name_f]Cece[/name_f] nickname?
possibly [name_f]Celine[/name_f]?
@MamaBWells
Oh no wonder why [name_u]Emery[/name_u] doesn’t feel like it fits… It breaks your pattern.
[name_m]Daxton[/name_m]
[name_u]Nolan[/name_u]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
All have a prominent “n” sound.
All have, spelling-wise, an “o.” [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] and [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] both have a long “o” sound, and [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] has an “uh” sound. I don’t know if you pronounce the first syllable in [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] more like “mun” or “mon.” Similarly, is it No-lin or No-lun for [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]? Either way, you have consistent long “O” as well as “un” sounds.
Two syllables
