Changing the Baby's Name?

My daughter, [name]Violet[/name] [name]Lane[/name] [name]Monroe[/name] was born yesterday, and we love her name, but my husband feels that it is lacking something and wants to change it to [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Lane[/name] [name]Monroe[/name]. I love that name as well but not sure how I feel about her having 4 names total…What are your opinions?

Thanks!

Your thread title had me worried, because I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Lane[/name] for you!

In my opinion, I would go for either [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Violet[/name] [name]Lane[/name]. [name]Both[/name] is a mouthful and makes her the odd one out of her siblings. The best alternative (even though I really wouldn’t want to mess with the perfection of [name]Violet[/name] [name]Lane[/name]) I can think of is [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elaine[/name].

Well, I’m a bit biased because my son has two middle names, as will any other children we have. But, that aside, I really do prefer [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Lane[/name]. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Lane[/name] sounds very much like a street in a subdivision somewhere. It is pretty though, and I don’t think it is a bad name by any means. That is just what I think of when I hear it. I guess because technically, both are word names. I really like the name [name]Lane[/name] for a first name for a boy and this is the problem I’ve run into, it sounds like a street name somewhere. I may use it anyhow, so obviously, it isn’t a deal breaker. I don’t think adding [name]Elizabeth[/name] will be a problem at all. The suggestion of [name]Elaine[/name] is a nice option too. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter!

Congratulations! [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Lane[/name] [name]Monroe[/name] is such a pretty name. Yes, sometimes two middle names can sound like the namers were trying too hard - but sometimes they blend so well the total effect is enhanced. I would go for it.

Congratulations, [name]Elle[/name]! What a lovely family. I honestly like both names equally – does the [name]Elizabeth[/name] represent something or someone special or is it just filling out the name? I guess I’d say, if your husband is excited about adding the [name]Elizabeth[/name], and you’re not decidedly against it, then it makes sense to go for it as it will make him happy and you’ll be happy (and your little girl will have a great name) either way!

Thanks guys! I still don’t really know what to do, [name]Lane[/name] is a family name and [name]Elizabeth[/name] is as well. I rather like [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Lane[/name], but I just don’t know if she should have two middle names. I think we will end up leaving it, because I love [name]Violet[/name] [name]Lane[/name], and I don’t want her siblings to feel like they got “less”.
thanks!

p.s. we are adopting from russia in 2013 or 14…so looks like we’ll be needing your help again in the near future…

Honestly I like the simplicity of [name]Violet[/name] [name]Lane[/name]. I would not not add another name the only alternative for me would be to call her [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elaine[/name].

Actually having more mn’s is becoming more stylish. I think it’s wonderful to add [name]Elizabeth[/name], however, I would add it after [name]Lane[/name].
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Lane[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Monroe[/name] sounds glamorous!

Okay guys, you know this person is faking, right? She joined Nameberry on the 16th claiming to be 36 weeks pregnant, then magically went into early labor on the 19th and let everyone know that she was on her way to the hospital (after making two last threads about potential names, of course). A few hours after that, she posts a birth announcement for her new baby (So apparently labor, delivery, recovery and checking out of the hospital took about 4 hours. Wow, that’s impressive). And she’s been posting pretty consistently ever since because apparently having three children plus a newborn gives you lots of free time. Also, I find it interesting that she’s planning on adopting from [name]Russia[/name] within the next year, considering that as I’m typing this, the Russian Parliment is looking to ban US adoption of Russian children.

I’ve been trying to just ignore this type of thing but the recent influx of fakers/trolls is just really getting on my nerves.

No on 4 names. I say 3 is plenty if not too much. I say leave it!

I have to say that since the first couple of posts I had my suspicions that this was a troll but now with this [name]JUST[/name] HAD A [name]BABY[/name] AND NOW WE ARE GOING TO ADOPT FROM RUSSIAN … I have to say that I agree with [name]Pansy[/name]… I think its someone just wasting our time! I dont know why some people cant just say " [name]Hi[/name] I like names… help me with my imaginary list!" According to the timing of posts she had a 2 hour labour and delivery and the posted immediately…a little fishy if you ask me
