Channing Lane?

WDYT about [name]Channing[/name] [name]Lane[/name] for a girl. My son’s name is a surname as well.

I have never heard of this name- how is it pronounced? when I read the thread heading I presumed it was for a boy

[name]Hi[/name], I like channing, but lane as a middle name sounds like a place. I would do something more feminine as a middle name so that people can distinguish that you are talking about a little girl, not a location…

ie; [name]Channing[/name] [name]Grace[/name], [name]Channing[/name] [name]Rose[/name], etc.

[name]Lane[/name] is a family name and is sticking as the middle name. ;o) Our last name rhymes Files.

[name]Lane[/name] is cool, especially if it is a family name but I don’t care for [name]Channing[/name] personally (also it really sounds like a boy). What about: [name]Cara[/name], [name]Addison[/name], [name]Harper[/name] or [name]Morgan[/name]? With a more unisex middle name I might give a more girly first name like [name]Clarissa[/name] or [name]Elisa[/name].

Honestly, if I just saw that name (like i did with the posts title) I would assume it was a boy. I don’t really like [name]Channing[/name], but it could work with a feminine middle name. [name]Lane[/name] is one of my favorite middle’s for a girl, but it needs a more feminine first name as well… though i’d say you could get away with less feminine than [name]Channing[/name] needs.

I agree with the previous posters that [name]Channing[/name] is a very male sounding name. I have a special place in my heart for the name [name]Morgan[/name], it’s my oldest granddaughters name, [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Jewell[/name]. And her sister’s name is [name]Alayna[/name], nickname Laynie or [name]Layne[/name]!
What about [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Alayna[/name]?
