Character description

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!
I just started a new story (always starting new ones even when I am working on some ) and I was thinking it would actually be good if I could physically see my characters because even when I describe their features in a great detail I have a problem imagining their faces. Another problem - I’m horrible at drawing. So how did I solve this? Through FaceApp! I can’t choose whatever feature I want but I can do other things with it like changing hair color or eye color… So to get to the point I chose a picture of a celebrity based on my idea of what they should roughly look like and make them look younger with FaceApp (because this character’s a child). Now my problem is that I can’t actually describe the features (face shape, eye shape, nose shape, lip shape). So I am asking for your help. Thanks in advance!

What a great question!

I would actually describe the same face differently, depending on the vibe you’re hoping to evoke. For example, if the character was an intelligent, independent, opinionated type, I might describe her as having a “stunning, porcelain face, with crystal clear (whatever color) eyes, and a determined mouth.” But! If she was a caring, innocent, gentle kind of girl, I might describe her as having an “open, heart-shaped face, with rosebud lips and eyes almost too beautiful to believed”. Something like that.

You could also Google “different types of” and research eyes, mouths, face shapes, etc.
