So I was thinking of the name [name_f]Gina[/name_f] for a character but I am not sure what people would associate with it. I have written things before and found out later that the name was associated with something that I do not want my writing associated with. If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.
I imagine a [name_f]Gina[/name_f] as pretty, popular and very sure of herself. I associate the name with Brooklyn99’s [name_f]Gina[/name_f] Linetti, but I’ve already had that picture of the name before her. I also think of the full form [name_f]Regina[/name_f] meaning queen, which fits with that image but would also suit a more humble, very traditional character.
[name_f]Gina[/name_f]–Unlike wandarine I wouldn’t necessarily associate it with its longer version [name_f]Regina[/name_f], or any characters.
i’d have different impressions depending on the age.
for a kid/teen: definitely pretty, maybe a bit of a girly-girl but at the same time I can also see it on a tomboy.
Adult: maybe in her 30s, workout mom, on the PTA, or a receptionist.
Nothing particularly negative, and if you wrote her in a different way that would probably skew my view cuz i don’t have any strong associations with it.
