So I’ve never had this many issues deciding on a name for a character, but I’ve spent a lot of time looking through posts on here for ideas and thought it might be a good idea to make my own.
This is the main character in something I’m working on. His last name is [name_m]Santos[/name_m] and he has an older brother named [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] that goes by [name_m]Dom[/name_m]. The family has Filipino origins, although I don’t have a strong preference for if that factors into his name or not. I want the name to be relatively timeless and not too unique, but I’m open to any and all suggestions because I’m honestly just stuck and can’t find the right name.
So far my favorite ideas that I’ve come up with are:
[name_u]Drew[/name_u] (short for Andrew)
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_u]Dean[/name_u] (not a personal favorite, but I kind of like it with the last name)
[name_m]Nate[/name_m] (probably short for Nathan)
[name_u]Parker[/name_u] (I think this is my favorite right now)
[name_m]Ethan[/name_m]
[name_m]Dawson[/name_m]
Anyway, I appreciate all suggestions or comments about the names I’ve picked. I also would like to avoid any negative associations, so if anyone knows of reasons why some of these names might be problematic, I’d love to hear it.
