I’ve been here before, but only got one comment, so I’m back for more advice. The list is long, fair warning. Please help. I would love to know your opinions on names, or some ideas. If you think one name needs to be changed, or belongs somewhere else, or anything else, please comment that too. Also, I need help decision making. Thanks! Fair warning, this will be long. (I literally copied and pasted from the old post bc i am too lazy.
And thank you NephraLimu for your help!
"For the main characters of Ugly Duckling/Swan [name_u]Lake[/name_u], possibly [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] and [name_f]Aderyn[/name_f] as [name_f]Odette[/name_f] and [name_f]Odile[/name_f] respectively (if that’s your plan)? I was thinking [name_f]Aveline[/name_f] at first, but [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] is more different to [name_f]Aderyn[/name_f] sound-wise, and both have bird meanings (Aviana is from Latin and means bird, while [name_f]Aderyn[/name_f] also simply means bird but is a Cornish name). Alternatively, you could use [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] and [name_u]Merle[/name_u] (both [name_u]French[/name_u], songbird and blackbird respectively – these are less simple to assign to [name_f]Odette[/name_f] and [name_f]Odile[/name_f] in my opinion, but personally I’d say [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] for [name_f]Odette[/name_f] and [name_u]Merle[/name_u] for Odile). Not particularly sure about O names, I’m afraid.
For Snow-White and Rose-Red, the prince could be Auberon/Oberon (prefer [name_u]Auberon[/name_u], personally), since the prince is a bear at first in the fairy tale and the name means ‘noble’ or ‘bearlike’. [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_u]Armel[/name_u], which literally means bear prince.
For the bears in Goldilocks, Auberon/Oberon and [name_f]Bernadette[/name_f] (assuming you don’t use Auberon/Oberon for the prince) could be the parent bears as they share [name_m]German[/name_m] origins, although I’m less sure about the little bear. If you do use it for the prince, I have no idea. Names with bear meanings aren’t the most common."

I think that is all. Thanks for reading (instead of listening, I suppose) to my rant. I am completely okay with names being from other countries, as you may have noticed. That is probably where the character will be from. EG, Eislyn (Irish), is from Kinsale, Ireland.
If I have forgotten any fairy tales, please let me know. Thanks! And yes, this will be a multi-book series. 21 so far. Yikes. Wish me luck! And thanks again!
