Characters for my first novel

I’m in the process of writing my first novel. All my characters have working names at the moment.

Character #1 - 40 years old, burnette, beautiful, very petite, 2nd in command in a goverment agency, degree in pychology. She’s smarter then most. She rarely shows emotion, she’s very cold and unattached. The name I’ve been using is [name]Vivian[/name] [name]Black[/name]. And, I’m thinking I may stay with this name. Any thoughts?

Character #2 - 18 years old, awkward, geeky, loyal, a good friend, darker complexion, wears glasses, his computer is his best friend, doesn’t get out much, never had a girlfriend, doesn’t know who his parents are, thinks junk food is a food group. The name I’ve been using is [name]Seth[/name] [name]Weber[/name]. This name is really growing on me. Thoughts?

Character #3 - 58 years old, cowboy wannabe, gets around with the ladies but his heart bleeds for his wife that died over 30 years ago. Tells it like it is, rarely curses. Has a nickname for everyone. I’ve been using the name [name]Frank[/name] [name]Valentine[/name].

Character #4 - 50ish, ruthless, cold, ice blue yes, silver hair, power hungry, gets angry easy. Used to be a jewel thief and went to prison because he got caught. He’s estranged from his only child. This is the character I’ve had a hard time naming. The name I tossed out for him is [name]Eric[/name] [name]Theron[/name].

Character #5 - 28 years old, ruthless, piercing green eyes, shoulder length sandy hair, beyond handsome if there is such a thing, very dangerous, can kill with his bare hands, doesn’t feel physical pain, doesn’t talk much, very passionate, rides a motorcycle, always wears black. For this character I’ve been jumping between [name]Nathan[/name] [name]Paris[/name] and [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Bishop[/name]. Thoughts??

Character #6 - My main character - 19 years old, has lived on the streets of Toronto for the last 5 years. Tall, fair, blue eyes, fun to be around, very emotional, selfless, only child, parents dead, too trusting, never gives up when challenged, never finished high school. I’ve been using [name]Callie[/name] for a name, but I’m not sure about it. And, I haven’t come up with a last name but was thinking [name]Hunter[/name].

All of your names are fine but if you are interested in any of the random names I picked feel free to use them.

  2. [name]Ira[/name] Weiske, sounds nerdy and [name]Ira[/name] means watcher.
  3. [name]Adair[/name] Kersley, [name]Red[/name] [name]Adair[/name] is the famous oil-well-fire troubleshooter.
  4. [name]Raoul[/name] [name]Day[/name], [name]Raoul[/name] sounds mean and means “fearless counsel”.
  5. Jalil Grimes, surname Grimes sounds good for a bady.
  6. Not sure if it was a male or female so [name]Afra[/name] or [name]Ainslie[/name] Grigg. Fragile female name as [name]Afra[/name] means young female deer, [name]Ainslie[/name] sounds likeable if the character is a male.

@fireflyslove… I love [name]Hugh[/name] Jackman but he is so far off of what I had in mind for the character. My character is not as tall and he has softer features then Jackman.

I like the name [name]Ira[/name] Weiske…I’ll have to use it a little and see if it fits better then [name]Seth[/name].

My step-mom suggested ‘[name]Morgan[/name] [name]Wells[/name]’ or ‘[name]Blake[/name] Farrows’ for character #6 who is female…sorry I forgot to mention that. I like both names better then [name]Callie[/name].
