I was discussing potential names for a future child with my husband. I’ve been focusing more on girl names because my husband seems to be to be a daughter maker and we have a short list for boys. Anyway, he said if we we re to continue with our C theme he likes the name [name]Charisma[/name]. I’m iffy because his little cousin has that name. However, it is spelt Kharizma. I suggested [name]Cordelia[/name] (going off of [name]Buffy[/name]). He liked that name. Our daughters are [name]Cadence[/name] and [name]Clarissa[/name]. Which name fits better? Any middle name suggestions?
I think [name]Cordelia[/name] is a classier option by far. It’s Shakespearean and very mellifluous. No offense at all to your sweet cousin in law, who I am sure is a school aged child, but [name]Charisma[/name]-- particularly that spelling, Kharizma-- seems like a stripper name to me.

I am loving the whole thing about [name]Buffy[/name]! lol I would avoid [name]Charisma[/name] if you know someone with it already. [name]Cordelia[/name] is gorgeous and fits right in easily. (And may I half-jokingly suggest [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Willow[/name]?)
I felt like a total nerd for automatically making the connection between [name]Charisma[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name]. [name]Cadence[/name], [name]Clarissa[/name], and [name]Cordelia[/name] are lovely together.

I adore [name]Cordelia[/name], it’s ont he top of our list for a girl. [name]Charisma[/name] is not one I care for. I don’t mind virtues, but this is not one I like.
[name]Cordelia[/name] is by far a nicer name ([name]IMO[/name]) and a much better fit with your girls! I know one who goes by [name]Cordy[/name], but I much prefer the NN [name]Delia[/name].

I’d use the name [name]Cordelia[/name].
[name]Cordelia[/name], definitely. It’s beautiful and classic whereas [name]Charisma[/name] is…the total opposite. Also, I’ve read that [name]Charisma[/name] Carpenter (the actress who played [name]Cordelia[/name]) really dislikes her first name.
