Charlie full names

I figured I would start a new thread since this is a new topic. I asked earlier about name suggestions for our long last name and someone suggested [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]—which I love! But I don’t love [name_m]Charles[/name_m] as a “real” name (no offense to anyone, just not quite my style) Would it be crazy to make the birth certificate name [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] and then use [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] as a nickname from there?

What about [name_m]Charlton[/name_m]/ You can easily get [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] from it, and it gives him (baby) the option of a more formal name.

I love the idea of [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]!

I love the suggestion of [name_m]Charlton[/name_m]. What about [name_m]Charleston[/name_m] or [name_m]Carl[/name_m]?

I love seeing [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] used on a boy as I’ve known mostly girls with the name. I don’t think [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is too much of a stretch particularly because [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] doesn’t really lend itself to other nns.

[name_m]Charleston[/name_m] is a cool idea too.

Thanks!! I didn’t even realize that [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] was being used as a unisex name these days!

Charlemagne, the ch is pronounced like sh, but if [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] can come from [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], why not this?
[name_m]Charlton[/name_m] and [name_m]Charleston[/name_m] are both nice suggestions, easy to spell.

I think [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] works well! Most of the letters are in there and plenty of people go by things that aren’t perfectly linked to their first name anyway so it wouldn’t feel out of place.
