Someone said to me once on another board “Please don’t name [name]Liam[/name]'s redhaired brother [name]Bodhi[/name], its ridiculous” ([name]Liam[/name] is a dirty blonde) and that has stuck with me for some reason. Guess we should have saved [name]Liam[/name] for this guy :slight_smile:

Yes, [name]Charlie[/name] goes better with [name]Liam[/name]. Another big plus for [name]Charlie[/name]: [name]Charlie[/name] will have [name]ZERO[/name] problems with spelling and pronunciation of his name; whereas, not everyone is familiar with Bohdi, which will raise some eyebrows in addition to having spelling and pronunciation errors. Of the two names, I think your son will have an easier life as [name]Charlie[/name]. (Personally, I’d go with [name]Charles[/name], nn [name]Charlie[/name].)

This is not a criticism, but how do you get the nn [name]Huck[/name] from [name]Charlie[/name]? Is there something I’m missing?

[name]Charlie[/name] will constantly have to explain that his name is not [name]Charles[/name]. [name]Charlie[/name] feels cutesy while [name]Bodhi[/name] feels strong

I went with [name]Charlie[/name]. I think it matches well with [name]Liam[/name] in that they can be viewed as nicknames of longer classics. [name]Bodhi[/name] has such a spiritual meaning behind it that I would expect the family to be naming all their children along those names - I don’t know, it just stands out to me more.

I love the name [name]Bodhi[/name]. Was running around our possibility list for awhile too. I think it’s unique, but not too out there. The meaning of it is perfect. It had a great sound that is easy to pronounce (might be misread here and there, but easy to say once you’ve heard it). I think it’s got everything a great name needs.

I prefer [name]Charlie[/name] as it goes better with the middle name, [name]Gray[/name] and sounds well as a pair with [name]Liam[/name]. I do know a guy called [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Gray[/name] (although [name]Gray[/name] is his surname :smiley: )

When I think of [name]Bodhi[/name], probably the last image I would ever think of would be a redhead. I don’t think it would be odd on one, though. I actually really like the name Bohdi, but I don’t necessarily like it with [name]Liam[/name]. I love [name]Charlie[/name] with [name]Liam[/name], and [name]Charlie[/name] is totally fitting on a redhead. Btw, I love how you got [name]Huck[/name]! It’s so creative and cool!

I never picture physical characteristics like eye/hair/skin color when it comes to names; it’s very limiting. I have a Irish name; my physical traits are the total opposite of an Irish person yet my name fits me perfectly.

Since [name]Bodhi[/name] is a Buddhist concept then technically the "look’ should be an [name]Indian[/name] person but I’m sure the stereotype is a blue eyed blond. If it’s perfectly fine for a blond to have an [name]Indian[/name] name then why not a redhead?

This is a really hard one! First, let me say, I totally don’t get the comments on not naming a red head brother to [name]Liam[/name], [name]Bodhi[/name]. [name]Bodhi[/name] is one of my favs. I also really like [name]Charlie[/name]. Classic. [name]Charlie[/name] does sound a bit better with [name]Liam[/name], but [name]Bodhi[/name] also sounds great. So, basically, I am no help whatsoever to you! Either way is going to be great :slight_smile:
