Hey there!
What do we think of [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] as a given name? I’m not super sold on [name_u]Charles[/name_u] (also, I don’t dislike it) but he’d never be called that so I don’t necessarily see the point in naming him [name_u]Charles[/name_u] just because it sounds a little more dignified on a resume.
What middle would you pair with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]? Last name is Dillow (which can sometimes make flow tricky).
Top contenders for [name_u]Charles[/name_u] were:
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_u]Archer[/name_u]
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]
Hit me with any other music/literary/nature/bird middles you can think of =)
I love [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] but not so much [name_u]Charles[/name_u]. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] Dillow is adorable. I’d probably go for [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u] out of your options but [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_u]Birch[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] (like a blue jay bird), and [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] (“Hey Jude”) come to mind.

I am a female [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] from [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I think [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is warm and friendly and it definitely can be a stand alone name.

I definitely prefer [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] over [name_u]Charles[/name_u], and I think it’s great as a standalone name. I think honestly any of the middles you had picked out can go well with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. I’m partial to [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] as that’s my baby boy’s name, but they all sound good to me.

I sort of like formal name + nickname for more classic names like [name_u]Charles[/name_u]. [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] but I go exclusively by [name_f]Katie[/name_f] and it can be annoying that I don’t really use my full name but I don’t think I would want my legal name to be my nickname.
Anyway I think if you prefer the sound of [name_u]Charles[/name_u] with your middle names Id just go with [name_u]Charles[/name_u] even if you won’t really use it much.

Our son is [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u], as in the Beatles/his grandfathers (Harold) and the bird/his dad’s nickname, so you are right on with our style =)

[name_m]Gideon[/name_m] was a top contender for our first son’s name!
I like just Charlie! Charles Gideon or Charlie Gideon is amazing. I actually like Charlie Gideon Dillow very much!

Thank you! So many of these were wonderful! I really like [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], and [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. [name_u]Walter[/name_u] and [name_u]Edward[/name_u] are both family names so there’s potential there too! Thank you!

I prefer [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] WAY more than [name_u]Charles[/name_u]. I think it’s just as handsome, warm, professional and dignified as [name_u]Charles[/name_u]. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] is my favorite from your list.

Charlie/Charles [name_m]Peter[/name_m]
Charlie/Charles [name_u]Vaughn[/name_u]
Charlie/Charles [name_u]Finch[/name_u]
Charlie/Charles [name_m]Roman[/name_m]
Have you thought of spelling it [name_u]Charley[/name_u]? It’s more formal (in my opinion) but when you say it out loud it’s exactly the same pronunciation as [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. I’m not going to write a list because if I do I’ll never finish the book I’m reading beforehand I fall asleep (literally came on here to post it on the teenberries thread) but I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_m]Roman[/name_m] from other people’s lists. Also, my cat named [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] started scratching at my door to be let in while I was reading this so apparently he approves.
