Not sure if this is the right place to post this–but I’m too excited. The new royal baby’s name has been announced! I love the name, and think it’s lovely. Thoughts?
Fitting, proper, and perfect in style, sound and meaning. God bless the little [name_f]Princess[/name_f].
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (though I rooted for [name_f]Alice[/name_f]), the rest was expected, is nice but not too exciting.
With this combo they managed to honour everyone, even [name_f]Kate[/name_f]'s mother [name_f]Carole[/name_f] (which comes from [name_m]Carl[/name_m] as does [name_m]Charles[/name_m]), even though it is mainly honouring [name_m]Charles[/name_m] of course.
Absolutely stunning! I think it is perfect!
I think it’s perfect. I would prefer just [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f], but they usually use 2 middle names and this a great combo.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] her name. Classic, elegant, fit for a princess
Plus, I love that [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] honors [name_f]Kate[/name_f]'s family as well.
It’s beautiful, but a bit too expected and popular than I would choose. [name_m]George[/name_m] is a stand out, but [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is extremely popular.
I was rooting for [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]! I wish the combo was [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] though.
I find it predictable, but I’m glad they used [name_f]Diana[/name_f] straight-up. However, I think it’s a bit odd that she’ll share her name with [name_m]William[/name_m]'s first cousin, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] (2 years old.) Publicly, [name_m]Earl[/name_m] [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] says he’s delight they’ll share the name, but I think of the poor older [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] who will be forever overshadowed by her younger princess cousin.
I was hoping they’d go with a slightly less on-trend/popular choice - never expected anything outlandish, but I hoped for more of an underused royal classic. That said, it’s a nice name, solid and pretty at the same time. Was so glad they did use [name_f]Diana[/name_f] in there, although I also agree that [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has a nicer ring. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]'s mother is named [name_f]Carole[/name_f], which is another feminization of [name_m]Charles[/name_m], so I really love how her family got a nod in there too, intentionally or not!
I was also hoping for something less expected than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but I’m very glad that they used [name_f]Diana[/name_f].
Very pretty. I’d guessed a slightly more formal-sounding [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but this is a gorgeous choice!
I was hoping for [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but I still think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is beautiful. I do too believe that [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] flows better but that would put [name_f]Diana[/name_f] before [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], and I’m not sure if the [name_f]Queen[/name_f] and some other royal family members would have been a fan of that.
