I’m not considering it, but doesn’t it sound like it could be a name?
Not to me, it’s definitely not name material.
I guess I can see it sounding like a name, but it’s like [name]Mimosa[/name], unusable imo because it relates to alcohol.
I didn’t really mean it as usable, but couldn’t you see it on the Nameberry’s Girl Names list under C?
Not my style, but I absolutely think it’s usable. It has all the familiarity of [name]Magnolia[/name] or [name]Clementine[/name] with the sound of [name]Charlotte[/name] & [name]True[/name] and the style of [name]Scarlet[/name]…but much more nn potential. It isn’t as questionable as something like [name]Chardonnay[/name] imo!
If I met a little girl named Chartreuse I would think it’s kind of cute, very imaginative, but quite a mouthful!
If I were named Chartreuse I would go by [name]Charlie[/name] or [name]Trudie[/name]. [name]Both[/name] of which I love!
I’ve seen it used before on a person.
I would never use it myself though.
I’ve met a Chartreuse, but she was an exotic dancer and I don’t think it was her birth name.
That’s what it sounds like.
