I’m due with a baby girl later this month, and we’re pretty sure her name will be [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Since she’s going to be a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] baby, we want to give her a Christmassy middle name. Our children came up with Reindeer, and my husband suggested [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] and [name_f]Doe[/name_f] instead.
What are your thoughts on these options? I know our names are not for everyone but we like them. So, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Reindeer, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Doe[/name_f]? Our children are [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] if that helps. Please don’t suggest any other names as we already have too many on our list.
I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f]! I would really suggest something else, but if that’s not an option, my vote goes to [name_f]Fawn[/name_f]. Reindeer would send clearer [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] inspiration, though, but it’s not very usable [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
Out of the three, I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f]. I know you didn’t want to hear suggestions but I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] and think it goes great with her sister’s name. BTW love [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Fox[/name_m], very handsome.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] is surprisingly cute and unexpected! I second the suggestion of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], and would also add:
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f], although it doesn’t make me think of [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]. [name_f]Nor[/name_f] does doe. Reindeer is the only Christmastime name, but that would be silly.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] is a very sweet name, but it definitely has more of a springtime vibe - I don’t associate fawns with [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] at all. I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Reindeer could work and would be a fun, if bold choice. If you want something subtler, I would recommend [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Dymphna[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Feena (both mean “deer” :)).
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Doe[/name_f] is my fave.
[name_f]IMO[/name_f] Reindeer is not a name and I dont particularly associate [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] with [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]
Surprisingly, I find myself liking [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Reindeer; I can’t quite pinpoint why though.
I also don’t associate [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] with winter btw - it feels more like spring to me.
Considering Reindeer is one of your options, I’ll go a little more unusual with some of my suggestions:
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Bell/name_u
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Crimson[/name_f] - red is quite a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-y colour imo
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Frost[/name_u]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Garland[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlet/name_f - see [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Crimson[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]
I guess that at a stretch [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] with any middle that’s a tree name or that means tree would mean “light tree”, like a christmas tree with all the pretty lights on it. My favourites for this would be [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Aveline[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Evora, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f].
[name_m]Just[/name_m] like others have said, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] is’t very christmas-like. I know you don’t want suggestions, but take note of some ones people made, because I think they’re nice.
I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] best from your list, but it’s not necessarily [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-y to me-- it does kind of remind me of [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] though and the opening scenes are from winter. Some other [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] combos that seem to fit with your other names:
