I’ve been crushing on the name [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] lately (pn. keer-an) and I’m wondering if if works with my vibe or not for boys?
Other boys names on my list are: [name_u]Bobby[/name_u], [name_u]George[/name_u], [name_u]Alfie[/name_u], [name_u]Henry[/name_u], [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], [name_m]Louis[/name_m], [name_m]Tommy[/name_m], Finley/Finlay, [name_u]Liam[/name_u], [name_m]Luke[/name_m], [name_u]Ollie[/name_u], [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_u]Joey[/name_u], [name_u]Bertie[/name_u], [name_u]Niall[/name_u], [name_m]Cian[/name_m], [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], [name_u]Dean[/name_u]
So, does [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] seem like a good fit for our list? What kind of vibe does [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] give off to you?
Thank you!

I think it fits! It’s Irish and popular in the UK like some of your other choices! [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] has a sort of rugged but sweet feel

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I love [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m]! Obviously it’s a bit different style from a lot of your nick-namey boy names, but it fits the vibe fine. Especially w/the Irish ones on the list. It’s awfully close to [name_m]Cian[/name_m], so you wouldn’t want to use both of those of course. But anyway, it’s a great name. I think it’s a good balance of artsy & smart & sporty & charming. It’s unique too. Maybe a little tricky with spelling & pronunciation, but not a deal breaker. [name_f]My[/name_f] six year old nephew is [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] pronounced the same way. Adults sometimes have issues saying it right, but kids always figure it out no problem. I prefer the spelling [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m], because I think that it looks more authentic. But my nephew, [name_u]Kieran[/name_u], is a super sweet even keel super athletic fun guy if that helps you at all.

The sound of the name fits in, definitely, but the spelling of it feels out of place with all of them except [name_m]Cian[/name_m], of course. It’s just so Irish. I feel like [name_u]Kieran[/name_u], if you’d consider that spelling, would fit in better with the rest of your predominantly [name_f]English[/name_f] list. But, of course, it makes sense if you are particularly attached to this spelling, and it’s really not a deal-breaker by any means! [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought I had when considering how it fit with your style as a whole.

Thanks everyone! While I do like [name_u]Kieran[/name_u], I always struggle to spell it correctly thanks to [name_f]Keira[/name_f] Knightley’s name - her spelling of [name_f]Keira[/name_f] is really common where I am so I’m almost inclined to spell it like hers, even though it isn’t the spelling I’m after The [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] spelling eliminates that for me at least!
